Primary Purpose:
The Director, Color and Concept Development will work closely with the VP, Style Director to lead research and effectively present seasonal concept recommendations that ensure brand continuity, capture market trends and align to global merchandising briefs for Handbags and Accessories.
This leader will work closely with internal cross functional partners including, but not limited to Design, Merchandising and Archives.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to…
• Manage the research, development and presentation of ideas to continually fuel the creative process; present concepts found through personal exploration and follow up on ideas provided by the VP, Style Director
• Oversee creation of concept boards and communication tools for Design and key partners that tell the story for the season
• Manage the process of creating, maintaining and communicating the seasonal color palette & flow across all channels; partnering with Design Technology team to broadly distribute accurate flow of information and ensure completion of deliverables.
• Follows the collections through the season for relevant categories and channels (kick off – key milestones – showroom); responsible for ensuring integration and consistency with the seasonal brand vision. Partner with Design Studio management team
• Supervise all inspiration rooms
• Drive product naming for all categories in partnership with Creative and legal teams
• Manage Seasonal Information and Product Knowledge; continue to build upon the concept during the season and lay the foundation for our Buy Week presentation.
• Partner with Print and Pattern Designers on creative direction for prints
• Drive and optimize management of Seasonal Wall and Seasonal Information Book while continuously building on and tracking concept evolution.
• Supervise Naming Process and maintain Product Knowledge matrix.
