POSITION TITLE: Director of Digital & Growth Marketing
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Director of Digital & Growth Marketing is responsible for strategically planning, testing, implementing, and optimizing online marketing investments and initiatives for the Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), affiliates, display/retargeting and referral programs. The Director executes innovative and cost-effective tactics for customer acquisition, conversion, and engagement. This entails researching and adopting best practices for growth hacking, conversion optimization, A/B testing and streamlining of processes that help identify and scale high-converting, high-value and efficient acquisition channels. Lead the ideation, prioritization and testing process of fresh ideas within the digital marketing team, focusing on breaking new ground and uncovering scalable opportunities that the company is not leveraging today. Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that rapidly grows traffic and revenue.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Direct all SEM, SEO, affiliates, display/retargeting and lead generate/online referral programs, co-marketing and 'growth-hacking' initiatives, ensuring investments and efforts within each program drive the forecasted amount of qualified traffic, demand, and buyers for each program.
Lead the day-to-day in conjunction with agency partner to manage and optimize the SEM advertising campaigns including planning, bid management, ad copy, implementation, monitoring, landing pages testing, and ongoing optimization.
Determine and manage annual marketing budget required to meet or exceed customer growth goals, traffic and demand goals and develop business case to support the annual investments.
Define annual program Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and program-specific strategies that capitalize on the ability of each program's strengths in driving new and repeat buyers and demand.
Work cross-functionally with Merchandising, Advertising, Design, and Retail teams to create "tentpole events" to attract large influxes of user growth. Hone in on key drivers of user sign-ups, email subscriptions, and develop new campaigns to attract new growth.
Evaluate current SEO implementation and develop new SEO strategy to increase traffic and revenue from search.
Monitor and report the performance of key marketing metrics, as well as activities and events causing variances.
Ensure continual optimization of each program to drive results versus forecast on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
Oversee efforts to ensure optimal allocation of the weekly budget investments in each program.
Perform customer analysis, segment customers into meaningful and actionable cohorts, conduct A/B and multivariate tests, establish reporting infrastructure, track and analyze performance, and communicate out results. Increase lifetime value and reduce churn by engaging customers with the most targeted, relevant, and personalized content at each stage of the customer lifecycle.
Hire, develop and lead the performance marketing organization to achieve business goals as necessary.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
