Description
Position Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator provides essential day-to-day administrative support to the Vice President. You will also assist the Vice-President in managing and executing operational aspects of new product launches, new marketing and promotional initiatives and ongoing maintenance of the line.
Key Responsibilities:
• Meeting coordination and department support:
◦ Provide administrative support to Vice President with regard to calendar management, meeting planning, travel planning, expense processing and other ad hoc tasks the department head requires
◦ Responsible for issuing meeting agendas and preparing minutes
◦ Support manager in the preparation of presentations to senior management
◦ Support Vice President in Brand Strategy preparation and execution
◦ Facilitate logistics for sales gatherings, retailer meetings, visits and brand contests
◦ Manage and replenish departmental product inventory
◦ Purchase supplies and competitor products
• Project management:
◦ Under manager supervision, create and manage projects timelines. Ensure timely delivery of programs and projects.
◦ Proactively, identify issues and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them within scope of action.
◦ Assist manager to coordinate creative and production process with in-house art, production, media, editorial, public relations, web, and operations departments for projects under responsibility.
◦ Responsible for all day-to-day project tasks such as purchase order and invoice processing, budget tracking, artwork routing, cross-functional team follow-ups, fact book updates, etc.
• New product launch
◦ Assist manager to develop new launch communications
◦ Develop briefs for new collateral under manager supervision
◦ Manage in-line collateral updates under manager supervision
◦ Contribute to new formula evaluation with Product Development team
◦ Sku management under manager supervision
• Business Analysis:
◦ Act as team resource for competitive data by creating monthly summaries, building competitive product analyses, and sharing industry news
◦ Execute competitive and pricing analysis
◦ Report new product post-launch performance (qualitative and quantitative)
◦ Monitor new launch and core product reviews on retailer.com and brand site
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Passionate, loyal, responsible, self-starter/proactive, strong “people skills”, strong writing and communication skills, creative thinker, team player, organized, analytical, detail-oriented, dependable, ability to multi-task with strong administrative skills and work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and willingness to learn.
Strong analytical and computer skills (Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, major in Marketing or Business preferred.
1+ year of experience
