Job Responsibilities:
• Expert in Inventory Management tools and business processes
• Leverage deep functional knowledge to influence Gap Inc IM projects to ensure business process and roll outs help drive the business
• Provide thought-leadership around Inventory Management operations and strategy, as needed, to cross-functional partners and business leaders (within Old Navy and across Gap, Inc.)
• Develop quality tool methodology and clearly define technology/tools requirements to existing and new business needs
• Develop training based on an understanding of IM’s functional expertise
• Oversee Testing team to ensure quality results
Partner with Leadership
• Partner with Old Navy Inventory Management leadership team to establish and support inventory management business process and lead change
• Informs, influences, negotiates with and persuades cross-functional teams to adopt changes based on strategic recommendations that support business needs
• Partners with IM leadership/project teams to develop and deliver targeted communication to enlist the support of key management stakeholders
• Collaborates with Inventory Management (IM) leadership on the prioritization and sequencing of new systems, tools and other initiatives that impact Inventory Management
• Partners with cross-functional leaders in scoping and developing short- and long-term business processes and systems adoption strategies which support the implementation of strategic initiatives
Project Management & Change Leader
• Partner with Gap, Inc. functions (e.g. Operating Strategy, Supply Chain Strategy, IT, Learning & Development) to lead the inception and execution of inventory management strategic change by leading a team to define process, process improvement, document change and support with training
• Oversees and participates in process mapping to ensure accomplishment of objectives
• Manages implementation, communication, exploration and training of processes across IM and cross-functional teams to ensure consistency of application and alignment of recommended business practices
• Balance multiple projects and see them through from inception to deployment
• Identifies and recommends solutions for change management issues to be addressed to support successful implementation
People Leader
• Lead team: Set team priorities, connect team work to function and brand vision
• Builds team efficiency/morale through staffing, setting priorities, monitoring workload, conflict resolution and career-pathing
• Maintains climate of regular, candid, actionable feedback and performance recognition through weekly one-on-ones with direct reports and productive quarterly/annual development goals
• Effectively manage and support the career development process of direct reports to ensure job satisfaction, retention and future talent development
• Partner with cross-brand Inventory Strategy teams for knowledge sharing, establishment of best-in-class practices and tools, and in support of Gap, Inc. goals
• Model Old Navy values and culture (including growth mindset, winning attitude and ongoing improvement)

• Actively seeks ways to maximize financial success of division through successful implementation of brand initiatives
• Connects team’s focus to the business priorities of the brand
Qualifications:
• 5-7 years of Inventory Management (or equivalent) experience
• Demonstrated strategic agility ability to anticipate and articulate future business needs and respond with the appropriate strategies
• Proven success with leading organizational change
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of Old Navy inventory management applications (or equivalent) & MS Office
• Background in both planning and distribution is required
• Experience in leading system / tool projects for a business is required
• Proven track record successfully leading and developing a team
• Bachelor's degree required, Advanced degree preferred
