The Planning Coordinator will support Planning in all data elements related to planning of new product development and launch.
Responsibilities
ANALYSIS & DATA MANAGEMENT
• On-going maintenance and development of new product planning and purchasing documents, including capacity, material/BOM and due at dock trackers.
• Monitor and report on material and component order status, delivery and availability to ensure that new product launch dates are met.
• Aid in the collection and utilization of new product metric data and the preparation of reports and presentations related to new product planning and purchasing.
CROSS FUNCTIONAL COMMUNICATION
• Collaborate with new product engineers to fully understand material and component needs, critical ordering and delivery milestones, development time-line and status.
• Facilitate new product planning meetings, agendas, recaps and task follow-up.
• Communicate all changes to planning and purchasing and the impact on development, manufacturing and launch.
• Communicate any scarcity, shortages or excess inventory issues.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong communication skills: verbal, written and presentation
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft package (Word, Excel, Project)
• Ability to understand, communicate and create technical manufacturing documentation
• Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and flexibility to changes
• Strong reasoning ability and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere
Preferred Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements:
• College degree
• Project management experience
• JDE or business equivalent enterprise resource planning software
