Description
The Global IT Asset Director leads the IT asset management (ITAM) function, providing governance of IT and technology assets, as well as championing these areas. ITAM provides an accurate account of technology asset life cycle costs and risks to maximize the business value of technology strategy, architecture, funding, contractual and sourcing decisions. Role includes providing global support to various business and IT stakeholders in areas of asset information and technology inventory control.
Qualifications
• Lead a team of ITAM professionals, providing appropriate coaching, feedback, and training
• Responsible for policy creation and governance of the ecosystem for stakeholders who are responsible for the day-to-day management of the assets
• Work with business and IT stakeholders to determine the asset management governance of new technologies before they are deployed
• Approve and ensure socialization of ITAM methodologies, associated policies, and practices for IT asset life cycle management
• Ensure third-party services provide transparency into asset data and performance through timely ITAM analysis and reporting to enable Nike to optimize risk, cost, and performance
• Assign and oversee responsibilities for compliance investigation and review of license terms and conditions
• Be the champion for Nike's long-term ITAM commitment, showcasing risk reduction within our security and financial capabilities
• Allocate and manage ITAM Program Budget
• Define Nike ITAM program target maturity level to be accomplished
• Periodically asses Nike ITAM program maturity improvements and drive improvements in maturity
• Recommend changes to ITAM roles and responsibilities
• Engage and understand industry best practices for software licensing
• Create ITAM communication plan, metrics, and strategy map
Typical Education/Certificates/Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Equivalent work experience can be substituted for degree requirements.
• Typically has 3-5 years of business experience in asset management. Additional experience in procurement, finance or related experience would be useful.
• Experience of the end to end IT asset management process from Plan to Dispose is required
• Working knowledge of IT asset technology ecosystem
• IAITAM Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) preferred
