Description
As our Material Studio Coordinator, you'll maintain approved fabrics, trims and samples in the library, including; Sport and Sportswear seasonal Palette and Master Foundational Palette sections and tools. This involves managing the product management database (PDM) and material log of all available approved items as well as filing swatched hangers and trims and ordering replenishment hangers from vendors as needed. You will provide weekly support to Materials Analyst in helping publish our material development tracker. And support Materials score-carding seasonally. Customer service responsibilities include assisting library customers in locating materials and information in the library and pulling hangers and trims as requested. You'll utilize PDM, Brio and PPS to thoroughly search for materials. You'll assist in organizing and arranging vendor visits and studio training sessions.You'll assist in receive and maintain a small area of inspiration swatches from global vendors. In addition, you'll assist with any special projects as needed.
Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years related work experience, preferably in design or textiles or an Associates degree in design or textiles and 1 year experience
• Working knowledge of apparel materials including types of fabrics, constructions, finishes and the language used to describe them
• Proficiency with computer PC applications, including MS Word and Excel
• Ability to work with a variety of individuals across many functional areas
• Flexible and a team player
• Ability to understand complex organization systems
• Extreme attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently
