Purpose
Leads the SCM NAM organization in strategic planning, implementing and directing key strategic initiatives to create competitive advantage for our subsidiary and enhance efficiency for our teams through cross functional project management
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and take strategic decisions for the NAM SCM team with global relevance, working together with corresponding stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives and needs short mid and long term.
• Drive high quality, measurable and sustainable SCM solutions across NAM
• Collaborate and influences cross-functionally to implement and evolve SCM solutions that meet business objectives in terms of profitability, service improvement and business growth in close collaboration with all stakeholders.
• Lead the strategy on global and regional projects specifically around cross-functional SCM improvement, lean principles, retail and consumer goods supply chains, planning and inventory management
• Collaborate with Global, Regional and Market teams across functions to drive or support key cross-functional projects that ultimately achieve SCM & IT vision & strategic initiatives
• Drive alignment between global and regional project teams. Ensure harmonization of global and regional processes with reduced complexity, increased transparency and clear accountability in order to achieve business results.
• Establish a clear roadmap for strategic SCM projects and identifies sub-initiatives and inter-dependencies across various initiatives to ensure alignment across functions. Lead team to execute o these roadmaps
• Partners with key stakeholder organizations to identify, lead and execute continuous improvement projects. Recommends and implements process improvements through analysis and leveraging of best practices. Lead change management activities around process improvement projects
• Represent SCM NAM as key stakeholder on Global Operations or market project initiatives. Provide functional expertise to assess potential financial and operational impact
• Lead the SCM Project team on executional excellence to ensure project planning, milestone tracking and status updates. Create project documentation required for implementation, establish plans to make it sustainable and scalable
• Represent SCM Project and delivers status to GOPS senior management.
• Leads a team of direct reports across NAM to deliver positive business results through the execution of strategic supply chain projects. Responsible to provide timely feedback, effectively coaching employees with differing levels of experience
Key Relationships
• SCM NAM, IT NAM, Market and Group Finance, Marketing, Channel Teams, Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, Global Operations Project Teams, Sourcing, Global IT
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
• Expertise and experience in promoting and applying continuous improvement (problem solving, process improvement) tools and services
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Change management experience
• Ability to think tactically and strategically
• Ability to manage diverse stakeholders and drive change within varied cultures and viewpoints
• Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical skills and quantitative skills with ability to support assumptions of final analysis, share ideas and influence Senior Management by quantitative analysis or facts. Data Analytics / Predictive Analytics experience preferred
• Strong structuring and project management skills
• Ability to coach, guide, manage and develop direct reports.
• Ability to effectively delegate work as appropriate and provide individual goals and development plans to staff.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
1. Four year college or university degree with emphasis in supply chain, IT, logistics or operations preferred
2. Minimum 10-12 years’ work experience in supply chain management with demonstrated experience driving large scale project implementations.
3. Experience in leading teams.
