Key Accountabilities:
• Lead consumer-facing storytelling for Reebok through owned social media – from our products, to our athletes, to our overarching brand position.
• Drive the development of brand and product social media strategy for Reebok in the U.S. and in our 9 other markets around the world.
• Serve as “creative director” for all content built to be distributed through owned social media channels.
• Create Reebok storytelling that leverages non-Reebok cultural moments via editorial content – including tapping into the worlds of food, technology, entertainment and sport.
• Work with high-profile celebrities in music, sport and other arenas; tell their stories through the lens of the Reebok brand in creative, innovative ways in social media.
• Oversee and manage production budget for content and activations around the world.
• Build, lead and sustain a highly engaged, high performance diverse team and provide the platform for long-term cross-functional careers.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Leadership and people management experience, including oversight of diverse talents and skills sets.
• Expert in social media strategy development and implementation.
• Intimate knowledge of all meaningful social platforms, analytics and tools.
• Visual storyteller who can bring the brand to life through videos, photos and multimedia packages.
• Data-driven and able to shift and shape strategy based on performance insights.
• Comfort working directly with executives.
• Excellent project management skills, including experience with content management systems and digital campaign integration.
• Tenacity for trying new types of storytelling and taking creative risks in social networks.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and unrepentant creativity for online storytelling.
• Aptitude for spotting and seizing on cultural and/or industry trends as they happen, informing and supporting digital story development.
• Understands the digital/social space with a keen understanding of the media landscape and ‘white spaces’ where no other brands are willing to go.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. 10+ years experience in social / digital marketing.
2. Experience working with cross-functional teams, like PR, marketing, eCommerce.
3. History of sizable team and budget management.
4. A passion for fitness and eye for style.
5. In-house social media experience preferred; agency experience a plus.
The Reebok brand has begun moving to our new headquarters - a 220,000 square-foot section of the Innovation and Design Building in Boston’s Seaport District. This move will bring community fitness to a next generation design and innovation space; the all new workplace will foster a vibrant collaborative culture and will allow the brand to be closely connected to the community in Boston. Alongside state-of-the-art office spaces, the headquarters will be equipped with an extensive employee fitness center and a public retail store. All headquarter employees will be in the new office before December of 2017.
