Reebok’s Corporate Communication Team enhances the company’s reputation and positively impacts its employees’ engagement by developing impactful storylines and communicating them to internal and external audiences. The Senior Director of Reebok Corporate Communicationswill lead this team setting the long term strategy, partnering with senior leadership and will act as the spokesperson for Reebok globally.
Key Accountabilities:
• Leads Boston-based Reebok Corporate Communication Team, which includes day-to-day press office activities and all internal communications efforts
• Acts as trusted communication consultant to Reebok’s President and Senior Management Team
• Drives strategic conversations and decision-making processes with business partners
• Acts as spokesperson for Reebok globally
• Establishes solid relations with key corporate media globally and in the US
• Establishes network to key partners (City of Boston, media, other businesses, NGOs etc.) in Boston as Reebok moves to its new Seaport location. Acts as Reebok representative in the City of Boston.
• Positions Reebok as the best fitness brand in Boston media as well as key national/international media by developing and implementing strategic media relations plan
• Responsible for strategy and direction of corporate storytelling internally and externally, also ensuring that Reebok’s Senior Management Team is on board
• Responsible for driving brand crisis communications if/when necessary
• Drive and direct alignment process with all business units within Reebok in terms of corporate communication
• Ensures one-voice approach on above mentioned topics across entire organization (e.g. newsrooms globally, markets, Business units)
• Directs team to develop and implement impactful content for internal and external company channels owned by adidas Corporate Communication ensuring alignment with Content Creation and Strategy team on key focus topics
• Significantly contributes to the achievement of the department strategy
• Ensures smooth operation of the business by taking on ownership for related actions.

• Brand organization (President, Senior Management Team, HR, Business Units, Brand Marketing Team, Newsroom, Brand Communications Teams, Business Development, Strategy Office)
• Corporate Media in Boston / North America / globally
• Boston-based corporate influencers
• Reebok subsidiaries worldwide
• Germany-based Corporate Communication team, e.g. counterparts for adidas brand, company’s Media Relations team as well as Corporate Communication’s Content Creation and Strategy team
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to maneuver in consistently changing environment
• Thorough understanding of the complexity, interactions and dynamics within an international company
• Thorough experience in change management and communication of complex global change programs
• Solid network to key influencers in Boston
• Excellent communication expertise, both written and verbal (quality, consistency and accuracy)
• Ability to think + act strategically and develop + execute operational plans
• Experience in interacting with critical stakeholders (e.g. business media, NGOs)
• Hands-on, can-do attitude
• Passion for fitness
Minimum Qualifications:
1. University degree in business studies/marketing/communication or sports
2. Comprehensive understanding of communication and business topics
3. 10-12 years of experience
4. High degree of customer orientation
The Reebok brand has begun moving to our new headquarters - a 220,000 square-foot section of the Innovation and Design Building in Boston’s Seaport District. This move will bring community fitness to a next generation design and innovation space; the all new workplace will foster a vibrant collaborative culture and will allow the brand to be closely connected to the community in Boston. Alongside state-of-the-art office spaces, the headquarters will be equipped with an extensive employee fitness center and a public retail store. All headquarter employees will be in the new office before December of 2017.
