Overview
The Content Producer is responsible for managing shoot production and execution for Urban Outfitters social and content assets including Internal Marketing, Partnership Marketing, Digital Shoots, and Special Projects. This includes managing a budget as well as meeting with and sourcing influencers, photographers and locations that reflect the overall feel of the brand. The Content Producer will also help the team with its ideation of content and social campaigns, from casting relevant influencers, to creating unique and on brand video content, the content producer is expected to bring new ideas to the table on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
• Management of photo shoot production and budgets for the Urban Outfitters Content + Social Team.
• Work with Creative Marketing team to help to plan monthly calendar for all shoots, from initial concept meetings to post-production timeline.
• Work with Senior Content Editor and Senior Manager of Creative Marketing to streamline production and meet all print and go-live deadlines.
• Work with the Senior Content Editor and Senior Manager of Creative Marketing to forecast the monthly shoot calendar to achieve all necessary assets in a timely manner.
• Work with the Senior Content Editor to determine yearly budgets, as well as handle billing and invoice processing for all content assets.
• Collaboratively review seasonal creative concepts and suggest potential talent, locations and photographers that reflect the seasonal direction with the Senior Content Editor and Senior Manager of Creative Marketing. Continue to feed information and direction as seasons progress.
• Ability to travel to shoot locations and manage all on-set operations as well as being a professional point person who represents Urban Outfitters.
• Ability to work cross-departmentally with the Creative Directors of Women’s, Men’s and Home as well as the Partnerships team in order to develop content led campaigns that work towards the goals of all departments.
• Continually identify emerging talent, including creatives such as artists and photographers, influencers and models with an understanding of the Urban brand and the Urban customer.
• Maintain talent/influencer databases that can be referenced when casting for content led campaigns.
• Maintain active relationships with external photographers, artists, blogs, etc. to keep up-to-date. information to be used in production throughout the season and contribute to the development of the Urban Outfitters brand.
Qualifications
• Requires knowledge of applicable computer programs including In Design, Photoshop Microsoft Office, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to organize complex information and manage multiple projects
• Proven success and fluency in social media
• Self-directed, reliable and flexible. Always open to new ideas and bringing new ideas to the table
• Enthusiasm about travel, production and photography, with the ability to see creative vision through from inception to completion
• Ability to work independently with high sense of urgency while supporting company goals and objectives
• Ability to identify and communicate trends appropriate to customer and distill trend information into photographic images that drive sales and marketing plans
• Ability to work within the creative team and adapt to evolving ideas of a rapidly developing brand.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
