We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Website Merchandiser to join our MR PORTER.com Website Trading Team. This role will support the day to day and weekly merchandising activities on the website. The role will also include working with buying, planning, creative, editorial and our technical teams. You must be detail-oriented, extremely organized and an interest in fashion.
Responsibilities
• Ensure all pages across MR PORTER are beautifully and strategically merchandised to support the buy and wider business goals
• Conduct daily audits of the site to check depth/ high exposure product is being surfaced and attractively presented whilst making sure everything is correctly classified and merchandised
• Work with Visual merchandising tools to ensure products are merchandised at all times to maximize sales potential
• Report on the performance of assigned category, feedback actionable insights and make recommendations for improvement
• Maximize sales potential of product recommendations through weekly reporting of product page upsell sections, working with Studio to ensure smooth processes
• Oversee basket cross-selling opportunities for non-apparel
• Create email custom list edits according to briefs
• Product approvals for editorial, product marketing and content briefs
• Weekly maintenance of Designer landing page merchandising through reporting and optimization
• Weekly merchandising & maintenance of static on-site custom list edits in coordination with the Retail/ B&M team
• Weekly maintenance & support of Seasonal Shops (i.e. Summer Shop, Gifts, Trends)
• Coordinate seasonal updates to content featured on Designer landing pages
• Ensure all Marketing promotional areas & products are beautifully merchandised with new and relevant product from weekly uploads
• Contribute to Sales/Team meeting through preparation of agenda, reports, analysis & actions etc.
Essential Skills:
• Previous online visual merchandising experience in a luxury retail environment with in depth knowledge of luxury fashion brands, including previous and current collections
• High sense of commercial awareness with creative flair and affinity for luxury fashion product
• Understanding and empathy with the global luxury consumer
• Highly computer literate, preferably with knowledge of website systems and analytics tools
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability and confidence to liaise at all levels
• Flexible, proactive and open to change with proven track record of managing multiple tasks to tight deadlines
