External Job Description
As a Digital Marketing Analyst, you will leverage your analytic skills to help drive the optimization of maurices ecommerce initiatives. You will be a thought leader and advocate for the utilization of ecommerce data to make smarter business decisions for maurices, while also collaborating with sister-brands across the broader ascena organization to develop best-in-class practices. This role will encompass a broad set of analytical disciplines – reporting and analysis, forecasting, data governance, and test-and-learn driven optimization.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Analytics, Reporting and Forecasting
• Blend and harmonize data from disparate source such as Adobe Analytics, internal CRM systems and agency partners to enable an holistic view of multi-channel customer performance
• Translate data into actionable insights to enable smarter business decisions
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain digital KPIs and reporting
• Communicate complex ideas through concise communications
• Evolve and automate reporting to facilitate near real-time insights
• Support business planning process, including channel forecasting and planning and analysis for KPIs, for various stake holders – finance, media team, supply chain
Data Governance and Tag Management
• Act as subject matter expert on site tagging and data capture for the broader ecommerce organization
• Manage data layer requirements, including prioritization of enhancements and bug fixes
• Ensure accuracy of website tracking and maintain tagging documentation (via 3rd party tools such Observe Point)
• Provide training and internal assistance as needed for Adobe Analytics toolset
Test and Learn driven Optimization
• Partner with UX and agency partners to identify and size testing and personalization opportunities
• Develop and execute measurement plans to accurately measure performance impacts
• Partner with media team and agency partners to develop test and learn plans
Requirements
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Preferred areas: Business, marketing, statistics, computer science) or relevant experience
Experience:
• 4+ years of increasing experience in ecommerce or marketing analytics field
• Deep expertise in digital marketing best practices, techniques, and tools
Skills:
• Sound conceptual and pragmatic problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and drive efforts from start to finish
• Experience with marketing measurement and analysis
• Strong technical skills in web analytics, data governance and tag management
• Understanding of basic website development and design
• Ability to visualize performance trends and insights to tell a story
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communications skills

• Site Analytics (Google Analytics, KISS, CoreMetrics, Adobe Analytics aka Omniture*)
• A/B Testing (SiteSpect, Monetate, Optimizely, Adobe Target*)
• BI / Data Visualization (Alteryx, Domo, PowerBI, Qlik, Microstrategy*, Tableau*)
• Data Access and Modeling (R*, SPSS, Minitab, SAS, SQL*, Business Objects)
• Microsoft Office Suite – advanced Excel skills required
