Summary
The Under Armour Brand Creative team is looking for an eCommerce-savvy writer for our Women’s & Youth Team. But not just any writer. We’re looking for a masterful storyteller who is inspired and energized by the power of sport. One who is unlike any. Because it’s not just an everyday story we’re telling. Our stories carry the passion of the world’s greatest athletes—from this generation and the next—and the insights that come from our innovations. The storyteller we seek will be driven and unrelenting in the face of the challenges that balancing big projects and tight deadlines bring. Responsibilities
• Develop powerful product stories around Under Armour apparel, footwear, and technologies
• Write and edit copy supporting all marketing activities for Under Armour's Global Brand and eCommerce Teams
• Craft compelling product descriptions and supporting content (site assets, email marketing, POP signage, etc.) to drive sales
• Express Under Armour's Brand Voice across all outputs and media
• Create positioning and creative communications strategies based on seasonal big stories, and transform those strategies into copy for all marketing vehicles
• Work with Copy Director, Designers, and Creative Directors to create monthly merchandising stories that get consumers' attention and convert into sales
• Have an intimate, personal understanding of global sports and culture for women and/or youth
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners
• Manage projects and step up to lead teams of people (internal and external) when needed
• Have a firm understanding of search engine optimization and SEO keyword principles to aid in natural and paid search efforts
• Become an advocate for the Under Armour brand and an expert on our products—translate that understanding into concepts and actionable sales material for the eCommerce site
• Support a test-and-learn environment by creating messaging that is A/B tested for efficacy and impact
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of 4-6 years of marketing communications and writing/content development experience
• Desire to be a major part of a growing team responsible for protecting/advancing the Under Armour brand
• Ability to manage many tasks at once and deliver high-quality output every time, on time
• Excellent leadership, problem solving, and collaboration skills
• Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills
• Microsoft Office and Mac platform proficiency
• Samples of work submitted with your resume and salary history [Examples: Tear-sheets, implemented campaign in an end-use state, print and online including direct mail, advertising, online content/Ecommerce site reference (URLs)]
