Designer, Visual Merchandising (Clinique) - Asia Pacific Design Centre
Description
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
• Design and develop all Visual Merchandising (VM) programs including concept, material research, final mechanicals, quality control, and implementation guidelines.
• Facilitate communication with the design teams in Asia Pacific to complete assigned tasks – including concept development and guidance.
• Ensure VM guidelines are consistent with Brand's aesthetics and remain regionally relevant.
• Ensure prompt execution and provision of creative solutions to all regional program and activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creative input for merchandising & creative services
• Develop product launch collaterals & provide VM support for all Regional programs including counter testers, display props, design specifications & guidelines.
• Provide new and creative solutions to deliver high standards & quality work for the region.
• Provide support on merchandising planograms and point-of-sales’ development (collaterals) to the team members.
• Assist in creative support for all Regional conferences, press events and workshops.
• Space planning for product launches and special events.
• Provide creative insights to Store Design (SD) prior to any new design and development.
• Establish good working relationship with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Follow-up on project status and tracking.
• Support the team in executing ad-hoc VM projects.
• Assist the Manager, VM in allocating APAC's annual budget and expenses to ensure cost effectiveness.
Production & quality control
• Liaise with suppliers to provide creative/technical support for all Regional production.
• Ensure vendor’s ability to meet Brand's standards and expectations.
• Ensure good quality control for all outgoing shipment of collaterals, testers, and VMD tools.
QUALIFICATION:
• Diploma/Degree in Visual Merchandising, Industrial or Graphic Design.
• 1-2 years of experience in a design environment with 3-Dimensional design experience & knowledge, preferably in the cosmetic industry.
• Experience using software such as Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign, Microsoft Office and Render Works, SketchUp or equivalent modeling software.
• Comfortable communicating in written and spoken English.
• Has an eye for detail.
• Effective communicator who can engage with all levels of staff.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
