Assistant Production Coordinator- Upholstery

Assistant Production Coordinator – Upholstery
Reports to
Senior Production Manager
Overview
To manage MTO upholstery program, to ensure that all facets of the MTO program are running at high level. Position also requires creating and maintaining files and reports.
Responsibilities
Post Production/MTO order Management:
• Monitor and Manage Weekly MTO on-order and Delivery
• Manage MTO delivery – Vendor performance.
• Manage Large format, turnover and catalog samples deadline. (Approve PO’s in Trade Stone)
• Monitor & Manage fabric inventory with suppliers.
• Manager overseas Metal component sourcing, manufacturing and inventory.
• MTO Sku and costing maintenance, update all cross functional partners with price increases.
• Handles set up of new collections (basically taking PO Handoff away from Buying)
• Vendor Credit program - create and implement process to manage charge backs
Customer Service & Post Production Quality Issues:
• Work with Customer service/Operations team to place & track replacement part orders.
• Track all upholstery quality issue’s.
• Create monthly Quality reports for Vendors on issue’s and work with vendor to resolve.
• Create Seasonal assortment packet for customer service/Operations team on new product and potential issue and highlight workarounds.
Sourcing:
• Manage the Made-to-Order time & action calendars in the system –identify exceptions to manager and offer solutions.
• Order sample development yardage and maintain the fabric recap to ensure all information is updated and accurate.
• Become knowledgeable of Domestic and Global upholstery sourcing.
• Maintain all development reporting requirements including line plan analysis, calendar actualization & developed vs booked reports. Use information to improve process for future seasons.
Costing:
• Gather costing information for Made to Order upholstery products.
• Attend weekly meeting with Product Development
Qualifications
• 1-2 years of experience in an operations role
• Knowledgeable of upholstery, fabric understanding, material procurement, and manufacturing a plus.
• Management and communication skills to work effectively with merchants and vendors
• Problem predicting and problem solving skills that allow for a proactive approach to the business
• Adapt quickly to changes.
• Proficient in Microsoft’s Excel.
• Organizational skills necessary to handle multiple tasks and reports and complete them within deadlines.
• Ability to think analytically and plan strategically to the needs of the business
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field.
