Social Media Coordinator: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family
As the Social Media Marketing Coordinator, you will have the great responsibly to speak directly to and engage with millions of consumers through various social channels. You are the voice of our brand and can effectively speak to creative expressors and action sports enthusiasts to directly drive brand connectivity and engagement. You will work on execution of Vans social media content, events, and projects. You will play an integral role in ensuring deadlines are met and internal processes are seamless and efficient. Through your solid base understanding of social media platforms, copywriting, publishing tools, analytics tools, and creative applications, you will assist the NORA Marketing team in achieving overall brand objectives. You are a solid communicator, work well under deadlines, and be incredibly self-motivated with a knack for time management. Most importantly, you have a deep understanding of our brand mission, values and personality and live the Off the Wall lifestyle.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Collaborate closely with the entire social media team to execute planned content on Vans owned channels including Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter. Curate category content (Ie. Skate, Surf, Snow, Music) for amplification via Vans brand channels. Assist with community management including answering fan questions, messages, etc. Maintain project documents as needed: Content calendars, event plans, copy approval documents, etc. Assist in organizing and trafficking social creative assets to extended team and stakeholders. Develop content calendars for approval, and execute posts during major events such as Vans US Open of Surfing, Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, Vans Hi-Standard Series, Vans Park Series, etc. Manage contracts for social media event photographers, as well as the organization and uploading of all photos post-event for archival purposes. Assist with organic social reports and delivery for creative contributors and marketing managers. Complete product orders, sample collection, and shipping for social shoots, bloggers, and events. Coordinate travel for action sports bloggers and photographers as needed.
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 4+ years
Educational/ Position Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or related field
• Experience working in the retail industry a plus
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
• Travel by air and overnight, as required 30% amount of time.
• Lifting and/or bending 1-25 amount of weight.
