About the role:
Our buyers operate very differently to that of your stereotypical buying team; supporting the team and reporting in to the Buying & Merch Director this is a great opportunity for a Assistant Buyer to be involved in a variety of tasks and projects!
The team are responsible for identifying growth opportunities within the product range and how/where to implement them. They work closely with our boutiques and internal teams to manage the selection of product to Farfetch.com to both drive sales and manage costs. As the Assistant Buyer you will support them on this journey.
What you’ll do:
• You will co-ordinate buying schedules, liaising directly with brands/showrooms
• You will co-ordinate trend documents
• You will deliver specified ad hoc and project work that supports the overall Buying strategy
• You will co-ordinate logistical activities to support projects, including liaison with internal and external stakeholders, where appropriate
• You will identify and highlight opportunities for process improvements
• You will assist with managing and updating the Buying report packs
• You will gather relevant women’s- and menswear market information and communicate to the team
• You will assist with sales analysis to help predict future trends
• You will conduct detailed ad-hoc analysis as required
• You will monitor the site of how products are presented, any inaccuracies in price or information
• You will provide ad hoc support to the team in the delivery of duties and project milestones that support the overall Buying strategy
Who you are:
• You have an in-depth knowledge of designers, trends and resources
• You have developed an understanding of and enthusiasm for fashion and e-commerce
• You are able to think creatively and analytically
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• You are a strong team player
• You are able to adapt to a constantly evolving work environment
