REPORTS TO: In-flight and Aquatic Area Sales Manager
COACHES: Cruise lines sales staff
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Achieve excellence in Point of Sales Execution concentrating in training and motivating branded and generic sales staff through onsite training, implementation of visual merchandising and marketing activity, including execution of new launches and promotional programs. This focus must result in maximized retail sales and increased market share.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Budget:
No charge allocation management in agreement or in conjunction with ASM. Ensures proper usage of no charge material.
At a point of sales level, ensures that agreements are respected and that Brand resources are used efficiently.
Sales:
Retail sales maximization through Point of Sales execution.
Informs ASMs of stock issues and liases with store management / warehouse/operations management to solve problems.
Regularly visits ships at the ports to ensure our spaces and guidelines are respected as well as sufficient inventory levels are maintained on-board.
Works with ASM to review fixture fill vs. assortment plan.
Market Share/Competitive Activity:
Gain market share through in-store activity and managing incentives.
Reports on brand / product performance, identifies sales and merchandising opportunities, as well as competitive performance and activity.
First offensive line in in-store space battles and share of voice.
Additional responsibilities as assigned based on business need.
Marketing:
Responsible for the timely execution of all in-store programs according to retailer marketing calendar.
Provides first hand knowledge and recommendations on product mix and assortments.
Responsible for the Brand image and highest possible standards following region policy.
Helps to develop strategic merchandising plans in partnership with the Store Design Team and ASM
Creates and maintains boutique floor plans by ship (space and location productivity).
Works with the Merchandising team to create visual directives, as well as trains boutiques’ general sales staff on merchandising guidelines.
Provides before and after pictures and write ups of every ship visit.
Prepares monthly promotional merchandising updates for ASM.
Organizes, executes, and recaps on promotions and/or events.
Manages our transparency log and informs our sales coordinator of any necessary changes.
Management:
Responsible for the management, local training and motivation of branded and generic sales staff.
Ensures generic sales staff receives training manuals and selling tools.
Customer Relations:
Maintains excellent customer relations at as many levels possible between the brand and the retailer
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is a must
Minimum 2+ years of business experience preferably in marketing, sales and/or customer relations.
Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
Willingness to spend up to 60% of the time on local ship visits
Flexibility to work any necessary schedule including weekends and to travel on cruise-line as needed
Computer knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
English required, Spanish is a plus.
Strong visual merchandising skills.
Ability to give effective presentations.
Ability to plan workload and projects in advance and work independently with minimal supervision.
A valid Florida Driver’s license is required.
A background check is required in order to process a Port ID for this position. Job offer is contingent on successfully passing a background check.
