Manager, North America Trade Marketing MAC
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for driving sales and market share growth for the MAC brand in key retail accounts through a mix of strategic planning, tailoring of national programs, creation of retailer specific programs, and successful execution in-store and online.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Provide support to the Director of Trade Marketing and partner with National Accounts team for key retailers; assist in the execution of overall strategy including launch support and seasonal integrated calendar.
• Manage relationship and ongoing communication with retail Buying and Marketing teams.
• Build retailer-specific marketing calendars and liaise on program updates, promotional initiatives and retailer exclusive requests.
• Regularly partner with Product Marketing, Forecast & Planning, Online and VM. Oversee 360º programs including Holiday, Anniversary Sale and other category focuses to ensure timely production and successful launch, both in-store & online.
• Exhibit strong comprehension of all business drivers (including quantitative and qualitative data). Develop clear understanding of retail landscape and consumer behavior to execute mix of tactics that strengthen brand relevance, meets sales goals and aligns with both brand and retailer strategies.
• Act as point person for seasonal retailer presentations; work with internal departments on productive meeting agendas and secure presentation items. Issue recap with retailer feedback and follow up on requests.
• Lead recurring meetings with internal and external partners to guarantee open communication for seamless execution of marketing strategy.
• Partner with Key Account Management teams to gain insight on ELC brands’ performance and integrate plans as overall portfolio.
OMNI-CHANNEL (B&M + Retailer.com):
• Collaborate with NA Online and National Accounts team to develop strategies and execute tactics for retailer.com sites.
• Help drive the integration of brick & mortar and dot com, working to evolve the business models to fully capitalize on the strengths of each channel.
• Work with NA Consumer Marketing team to form seasonal digital marketing co-op plans; create media briefs to outline goal of campaign with clear metrics and reporting. Assist in completing internal CRQs to confirm retailer requirements are met.
• Liaise with key accounts on sampling needs for online smart sampling and new initiatives (beauty boxes, giveaways, etc). Track monthly shipments with Demand Planning and Customer Service and manage invoices with Finance.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years marketing related experience
• College Degree with focus on Marketing
• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for US market, consumer, and industry trends
• Independent, self-starter, well-organized, detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow-up skills
• Requires strong oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal capabilities with external partners and internal functional groups
• Must have ability to think strategically, conceptualize new ideas, initiate change and react to fast-paced environment
• Exhibit strong analytical skills and detail orientation with strong problem solving capabilities
• Have facility to identify, prioritize and adjust to multiple needs
• Prestige beauty and department store experience
• High degree of proficiency in working with numbers and quantitative analysis
