This position is responsible for developing market-driven stock product line strategies and managing existing lines to exceed customer expectations in service and offering. Creates differentiation for Imagewear in the competing market place by managing target costs, inventory, and margins commensurate with agreed upon divisional goals and strategies. Establish control-related standards and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Manages and communicates merchandising strategies for assigned stock line to the Supply Chain. Liaison with Supply Chain and Sales Team on all issues related to service requirements and interruptions.
• Owns product offering/assortment competitive gap analysis and manages life cycle analysis for assigned stock product and makes appropriate recommendations to redesign, re-market, and/or reposition.
• Tracks and reports Cost/Price/Margin analysis for assigned product to align with sector profitability, inventory requirements, and strategic goals to maximize revenues and maintain competitive position.
• Responsible for Lot-to-Lot forecasting for assigned line. Monitors sales activity, opportunities, and shifts and makes appropriate recommendations to operations, sector, and sales. Includes evaluation of direct and indirect activity.
• Manages product information for Master Database, Product Catalog, and business platforms for assigned product line to ensure content and information is accurate.
• Responsible for product communications and information to sales and marketing.
• Responsible for product line calendar and coordination thereof.
• Evaluates lot entry/exit strategies for assigned styles and sku's based on sector and merchandising strategies. This includes elimination of excess and obsolete inventories to meet established Corporate goals.
Requirements:
• Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5 years in Merchandising, Operations, or Supply Chain (preferably within the apparel industry)
• Bachelor Degree in related field preferred
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong product knowledge with a good understanding of market and customer trends
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, presentation) required for interaction with internal/external customers
• Competent PC skills (MS Office Required, Brio and Cognos a plus)
• Must be detailed oriented
• Must be able to handle multiple projects within a dynamic environment
• Strategic thinker with the ability to problem solve
