Vice President - Sales, NY Flagship
Overview
The primary focus of this critical role will be to drive sales in the New York Flagship store and to create alignment of all sales business units. This individual is responsible for the in-store experience delivery by the sales team and for client development across all New York Flagship business units and customer segments. S/he will lead the sales force and drive their engagement in order to execute sales and strategy. This leadership position is based in the iconic New York Flaghsip Store and reports to the Market Vice President – NYC.
Responsibilities
Drive Sales
• Develop strategies to accelerate sales in the NY Flagship
• Utilize analytics and consolidated consumer insights to drive sales, influence decision making and maximize sales opportunities
• Collaborate with MVP and Functional Groups to propose innovative strategies to raise awareness about trends and significant competitive business opportunities
Ensure Customer Focus
• Establish Client development expectations for team; build team’s client development skills and ensure the team’s execution of building business through client relationships
• Identify competitive opportunities to maximize brand representation in the NYC Market
• Understand competitive landscape and consistently focus on developing and cultivating NY Flagship’s top clients
• Create authentic relationships with clients and key players within the community through individual and group events, which leads to increased consumer insight, local market expertise and improved sales
Elevate Client Service
• Champion cultivating and fostering the Tiffany experience in all customer touch points , overall elevating the in-store client experience
• Continue to elevate and enhance the end-to-end customer experience while ensuring the NY Flagship remains true to the spirit of the Tiffany brand and culture
Build and Cultivate Talent
• Build and inspire a high-performing, engaged team that will work in concert across all NY Flagship business units
• Understand skill gaps within the team and use this insight to cultivate a strong pool of external leadership talent that will bridge gaps and elevate talent within the store
Leadership
• Constantly challenge the status-quo; lead and develop teams through innovation and excellence; challenge silo tendencies to ensure consistent and aligned strategy among all NY Flagship business units
• Demonstrate executive presence while leading and inspiring a cohesive, productive and engaged sales and management team
• Act as change agent; identify both ideas for change and the levers to implement across the NY Flagship to obtain substantial business results and amplify a positive store environment
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• 12-15 years of demonstrated leadership success in retail, hospitality, and luxury industry including a proven track record running a successful sales organization
• Prior multisite leadership experience or proven success leading a team remotely
• Depth of experience related to the American/US consumer (consumer insights, tastes, preferences by regional zone, etc.)
• Strong understanding and passion for luxury, lifestyle & fashion brands; experience in the retail industry is required
• Strong operational and execution focus while balancing many and varied perspectives
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to travel 80 percent of time
• Succession potential to grow with the organization, in place, upwards or laterally
