JOB PURPOSE
As a luxury brand, Burberry is a leader in digital, both in the development of its owned platforms, such as burberry.com, and on third party platforms. The prospects for Burberry on these third party platforms is estimated to be even larger than that on burberry.com, and we are therefore investing in the development resource and teams to execute on this opportunity.
The Third Party Digital Team is responsible for the discovery of opportunities with third parties, prioritisation of resource to these opportunities, set up and execution of projects, and the optimisation of trading on these sites, both for fashion and beauty. The team is focused both on the development of the commercial opportunity as well as ensuring the brand is optimally represented in these environments. The Third Party Digital Team is part of Digital Commerce, working closely with the Delivery, Strategy, Digital Marketing, Asia and Trading functions in the delivery of the above, and has close links with Regional teams and most other functional areas of the business, including the product teams, marketing, creative, finance, legal, customer service, supply chain and IT.
The purpose of this role is to support the Third Party Digital Commerce Manager in the identification of new projects, project management of these new initiatives, optimisation of existing projects and relationships, commercial support for the technical teams, the development of best practice for future projects, and to promote an understanding of digital third party in the broader Burberry organisation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project management
• Coordinate the planning for each project, supporting the Third Party Digital Commerce Manager
• Management of the cross functional teams during execution to ensure delivery of projects to the designated timetable
• Day to day responsibility for clear communication between execution teams in functional areas, escalating to the senior team as required
• Develop best practice to promote efficiency for future projects
Optimisation of existing partnerships
• Coordinate regular dialogue with regional teams to discuss digital trading trends
• Monitor partner activity with a view to leveraging this activity to enhance Burberry's position on the platform
• Drive change and improved ways of working
Commercial support for delivery of Burberry's Third Party Digital strategy
• Assist in the identification and prioritisation of potential third party digital projects, with reference to the strategic themes of brand, reach, reputation and revenue
• Assist in preparing business cases for new projects, working closely with the Third Party Digital Commerce Manager to ensure appropriate prioritisation versus project capabilities
Promote understanding of Digital Third party in Burberry
• Prepare materials for regular updates
• Leverage of third party intelligence to enhance burberry.com and other partners (trading context, strategy)
PERSONAL PROFILE
Qualifications and Experience
• Proven project management experience in an ecommerce environment, providing commercial support / business partnering
• SAP / Business Intelligence tool Experience
• Excellent Excel Skills with modelling experience, and excellent PowerPoint skills
