Wholesale Assistant Merchandiser - Burton
To help plan and trade wholesale online international market: Zalando, La Moda, Jabong, The Iconic, Zalora, Dafiti, Gwynnie Bee
What You Will Be Doing Day To Day
Planning
• Partner Option Planning: To maintain the partner seasonal option plan – ensuring commitment is placed in line with agreed monthly/seasonal plan £ and mix % – flagging opportunity and any gaps in commitment in a timely manner
• Commitment: To be proactively reviewing future commitment in line with current trade – being able to identify issues and opportunity
• Line Details – working closely with B&M ensuring all line details are up to date and accurate in line with partner required commitment for timing
• Lessons Learnt: To provide and support on seasonal lessons learnt ensuring consistency across all markets
• To drive and maintain market set up in line with business requirements
• WSSI Management: To set up and maintain partner and core product WSSI – being able to identify opportunity and flag any risk in terms if future commitment to the Merchandiser
Trading
• To produce weekly Trade packs to the Merchandiser throughout the week, presenting back actions around data to further drive opportunities and discuss any future risk
• Trade calls – ensure we are maximising partner knowledge and getting feedback around all data and market to further support and drive weekly actions and trading
• To manage the logistics of all Trade calls, ensuring meeting minutes are taken, with all actions points assigned to an owner
• Ensure timely communication is managed to B&M community and partners highlighting opportunities and risks for discussion
• To manage consistent communication with peers from B&M community i.e. discussing best and worst at meetings
• Interpreting data and proposing actions based on trade – appropriately feeding up, giving sound reason and taking action
• Working with partners on current sales reactions and feedback to team in trade calls/meetings
Intake & Despatch
• In line with agreed process, manage partner despatch plan (budget)- ensuring commitment is coming in to meet the weekly/monthly targets submitted to business in a timely and considered manner
• Working closely with key stakeholders in line with agreed process to flag any issues with intake and taking necessary action to endeavour to always meet £ despatch plan
• Ability to confidently communicate the shape of dispatch to DP teams and partner on a weekly and monthly basis – agreeing re phase where necessary and flagging any potential risk to forecasts in a timely manner
Management of MAA
• To effectively manage and support the workload of MAA
• To ensure MAA priorities, keeps calm under pressure and display good time management
• Develops and keeps MAA engaged by setting project work and development plan
• To ensure action plan is taken to make things happen – to make MAA aware of plan and budget in a timely manner and intake required to meet business despatch forecasts
• To familiarise with websites, layouts and provide the best possible feedback and management
Additional responsibilities
• To ensure filter up issues to enable effective communication with peers
• MAA to attend all peer meetings
• To ensure awareness of priorities
• Awareness of process, how to manager partner etc
• Day to day management with relevant tools
Must Haves
• Previous Merchandising experience
• Extensive Microsoft Office, specifically advanced level in Excel and PowerPoint
• Proven numerical and analytical skills
• Ability to network with internal and external customers
• Adaptability to change management working in a fast pace environment
• Proven management skills and ability to motivate and influence/encourage direct reports
• Must have gravitas when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
• Self-starter
Desirable
• Experience of working within a Retail environment
• An interest in product and fashion
• Merchandising background in International or Wholesale
• Understanding of commercial flare
• Organised and driven
