Senior Producer, Moving Image Content

Responsible for brining the brand to life through engaging moving image content in close collaboration with the internal art, editorial and fashion office departments. This position plays a critical role in keeping the creative team up to date with a broad range of new and established talent.
This role will manage all facets of production and post-production for all of Michael Kors moving image content and will oversee all budgets and contracts on a day to day basis - managing their P&L in close collaboration with Finance – as well as with Procurement and Legal for all contracts and agreements.
As part of this role, the Senior Producer will be charged with balancing creative vision with the realities of our budgets. The ideal candidate should possess excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to work well in teams.
The Video Producer will work closely with all internal teams including Creative, Fashion Office, Edtiorial, Marketing and PR to achieve on-brand, on-budget, and on-time moving image content. This role reports to the Associate Director of Shoot Production.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Partner with Creative, Marketing, and Production teams to set strategic video goals for each season in order to deliver on business needs.
• Must be a proactive self-starter who excels at facilitating and navigating shoot preparation/production and post production processes in a fashion house environment.
• Includes sourcing of directors, editors, music, etc. This role will be charged with constantly introducing the appropriate parties within the company to new talent for all video shoots.
• Manage all facets of shoot production, and post-production from hiring of the talent, to on-set production, to rough cut phase through shipment of final assets, including edit, on-line, visual effects, music, audio post, trafficking, and archiving. Oversee close to 400 advertising assets per year.
• Responsible for production of all video content from runway shows, presentations, and events resulting in approximately 50 assets per year
• Work closely with Fashion Office to book stylist, hair, and makeup. Coordinate styleouts and fittings for video shoots
• Play key role in tandem with rest of Shoot Production team to appropriately schedule and successfully capture video content during seasonal shoots
• Responsible for researching, sourcing, and securing music rights for all video content
• From time to time, work with external SAG signatory to estimate and facilitate talent payments for Union shoots.
• Work with shoot production partners on video production budgets for shoot and post from bidding process and generation of estimates, through final cost actualization.
• Work closely with Head of Shoot Production to generate shoot cost projections and financial summaries for video production
• Manage and maintain library of video content for Creative Services
• Manage dozens of vendor relationships including contract negotiations.
• Manage ad hoc special projects as needed
Operations
• Collaborate daily with Associate Director of Shoot Production, VP Creative Director, entire Creative Department, Project Management, and Marketing
• Maintain positive work environment with high creative standards
• Budget consciousness
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 8 years experience in video production and art buying and/or project management (fashion retail experience preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to manage relationships and drive process
• Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Strong project management skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Motivation, decisiveness, organizational skills are a must
