Description
The Senior Director of Human Resources leads all aspects of Buckle’s Human Resources functions including compliance, policy creation, employee relations, hiring, and benefits.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the strategic Human Resources plan with a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, Teammate communications, employee engagement and retention activities and strategic compensation and benefits.
• Partners with legal counsel on requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources.
• Develops and implements Buckle employment policies and procedures nationwide, ensuring compliance with all federal and state employment laws.
• Provide proactive and strategic guidance and support for organizational planning and development that align the Human Resources agenda in support of key business strategies.
• Ability to function as an internal coach by identifying and resolving issues, encouraging best management practices, anticipating internal organization issues, and proposing solutions.
• Manages performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
• Serve as a liaison with third party providers.
• Train and manage the professional development of the Human Resources team.
• Plan, develop and coordinate Human Resources projects in support of strategic business and Human Resources goals.
• Collaborates with the National Recruiting team for stores.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources. related field or equivalent is required, Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Human Resources. Experience with a retail company is preferred.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically, problem-solve and make decisions.
• Ability to contribute individually, and participate in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to be adaptable and deal with frequent changes.
• Prior computer experience in Microsoft Office application, Case Management, Human Resource systems, Internet software, Benefit systems, and Excel.
