Store Design & Visual Merchandising Senior Director (Clinique) - Asia Pacific Design Centre
Description
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
• Lead and develop the brand Design team to elevate and deliver an amazing retail Store Design & Visual Merchandising experience for the brand across APAC markets.
• Manage and drive the APAC SD & VM program and priorities, to deliver best in class design solution for Store and Visual Merchandising.
• Establish a strong collaboration spirit across team, sister” brands, while supporting PDC Corporate team’s priorities, leveraging cross-fertilization as well as best practices.
• Delivers speed-to-market design and construction solutions at point of sales, cost optimization, and fostering quality and creativity across markets and business priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive & deliver the brand’s SD and VM initiatives while ensuring creative strategy and brand values are successfully implemented and aligned with global vision and locally relevant.
• Act as a key partner with the Global Creative team, Regional Brand team and PDC Corporate team to drive best practices and future regional Corporate initiatives.
• Build strong partnership; collaborating with the regional brand team and functional regional support team.
• Ensure highest level of excellence in all creative and executional phases of work, including key business drivers such as: budget, timeframe, and quality control. This includes concept, design, photographic art direction, supervision of retouching, supervision of production, and overall project management.
• Share a clear and monthly update of all work in progress during our monthly Director’s forum and strategy meeting.
• Lead gap analysis and learning plan across all design/non-design activities and escalate top issues and future opportunities to win bigger across APAC markets.
• Set key performance objectives for SD and VM Design team and construction activities and clearly communicate priorities and target results to key stakeholders.
• Develop upstream design capability; grow and retain the team’s talent pool, specific areas of expertise including project management, interpersonal skills, communication skills, talent management and development program.
• Develop an on-going innovative eco-system within design’s team, leveraging on their core expertise, passion, interest and given objectives.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
• University-level education or equivalent, with major in Architecture, Interior Design or Industrial Design (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 12 years of related design experience in the luxury space with at least 5 years experience in managing a team.
• Proven track record in interpreting brand strategy in a growing environment with full-scope project design and project development experience.
• Self-starter with excellent project management organizational skills.
• Excellent people management and leadership abilities.
• Strong written and oral communication in English.
• Kept abreast of current fashion, beauty and lifestyle trends.
