Store Design and CVM Manager
Overview
This role will be responsible for the development, project management and execution on time and on budget of all new stores or renovations in LATAM, working in close partnership with the Global Store Design teams and the local Vendors. The role in partnership with MD’s and Regional VP will provide to Global SD all briefs and specifications for Global to complete the design.
In addition, this person will oversee and negotiate with local vendors all day to day store maintenance as well as execute small refurbishments such as floor changes or new furniture addition/replacement.
This role will oversee the CVM strategy according to Global guidelines and local needs and will be responsible for the execution of windows and vitrines in partnership with the markets and local vendors.
Responsibilities
New Stores project management, development and execution
• Participate with MD’s, Trade Director and Regional VP on the Real Estate selection.
• In partnership with local MD’s, Trade Director and Regional VP create the brief and details specification for any new store and location.
• In alignment with the Global SD project cycle and processes, lead and create the retro-planning and timeline for each new location.
• Through regular meetings and calls lead the follow up and supervision of the store development as well as the budget and cost management.
• In partnership with local vendors develop all the constructive plans, documents and construction details according to mall or cruise requirements and align with Tiffany standards.
• Act as a primary contact for all SD & CVM related matters with Global, Trade partners, GC Vendors and Landlords.
• Coordinate and manage Global approvals throughout all the process of every store.
• Complete every store on time and budget as the main goal.
Store Construction & Maintenance
• Once design & planning has been completed, bid the construction process with the pre-selected potential vendors.
• Partner with Global SD on the fixture, lighting, furniture, floor and any other imported component for the store.
• Review and monitor construction estimates and project schedule as construction progress.
• In partnership and legal review all construction/vendor agreements and contracts. Ensure includes clauses for quality and warranty.
• Responsible for all the aspects of Capital project improvements in operating stores including but not limited to remodels, expansions, lighting retrofits, fixtures, furniture and equipment upgrades.
• Act as owner’s liaison to mall operations and tenant coordination in alignment with local MD/Dir Finance
• Responsible to select the local vendors to provide maintenance services and stablish the yearly contracts and terms in alignment with finance, MD’s and Regional VP.
• In partnership with Global and alignment with Tiffany standards lead the process to progressively reduce the % of imported materials to stores.
• In partnership with Global, pro- actively work in reduce store construction costs in order to have a sustainable and scalable business model for LATAM and the Cruise Channel.
• Interface as required with all the areas involved at Global, Regional and local level to successfully complete store openings on time/cost
CVM
• In partnership with his/her team and alignment with Global guidelines of the CVM strategy for the region and each market.
• Responsible of the quality of the execution and visual impact of the CVM at stores according with Tiffany standards.
• Partner with Merchandising to establish the strategy and the cadence on execution
• Coordinate the timely and qualitative execution of the caseline changes and windows
• Select & negotiate terms with the local vendors to support local teams on the execution
• Partner with Global to nationalize as much as possible the production of CVM elements.
• Coordinate all deliveries of any imported materials to avoid high charges on taxes and shipping costs.
• Manage the CVM budget , plan for LRP and Budget processes the estimate forecast for the department.
Lead, support and develop the Regional CVM Manager/Assistant Manager
Qualifications
• A degree in Architecture or Design is a must and an MBA or Masters is preferred
• More than 8 years of experience in Retail design, Store construction, store design or similar
• Experience in CVM In retail and luxury preferable
• Solid background in LATAM, operating in all the countries in the region with focus in Mexico & Brazil
• Strong technical skills in CAD, 3D design , Photoshop , etc
• Able to work in multiple projects
