THE ROLE
This role sits within Digital Marketing, under the Digital Platforms team. The Digital Marketing Manager will report directly into the Senior Digital Marketing Manager and will be responsible primarily for leading world-class marketing efforts across a mixture of Burberry’s platforms, including:
• Burberry.com: Encompassing campaign, product and brand experiences
• Retail Theatre: Leveraging in-store screens to create dynamic environments
• The Burberry App: The newest of our platforms, delivers the most personal iteration of brand and campaign storytelling
• Emerging Technologies: Using emerging technologies to bring our brand stories closer to our consumers
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive long-term strategies across a mixture of Burberry’s Digital Marketing Platforms
• Run best-in-class implementation of these strategies in collaboration with various other departments including Creative Media, Production, Digital Commerce and Visual Merchandising, ensuring all planning and delivery of work is consistent with marketing messaging
• Perfect and evolve the digital content strategy across all platforms with an eye on always creating new and improved experiences for Burberry’s digital consumer
• Work collaboratively in a team of high-performing digital marketing professionals across Email, Messaging, SEO and Social Media to deliver coherent and seamless experiences
• Work in constant partnership with our data teams to draw insights that inform and improve the experiences we create
• Monitor digital landscape for opportunities to optimise Burberry’s existing presence on digital platforms and assess the opportunities available to launch on new and emerging platforms
• Champion digital platforms internally and maintain strong internal stakeholder communication channels across marketing, creative, commercial and the wider business
• Lead, motivate and empower direct report (Marketing Assistant)
A successful Digital Marketing Manager will be an expert in digital storytelling, with eyes firmly set on creating best-in-class digital experiences. They will have lead high-performing teams and feel comfortable working cross-functionally. They will think creatively and have a hunger for innovation.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
• Bachelor degree educated or above
• Extensive digital marketing experience with a background in leading digital platforms strategies across some or all of; websites, apps and other emerging platforms
• Proven track record motivating a high-performing team
• Passion to innovate and consistently deliver best-in-class digital marketing experiences
• Luxury fashion and retail experience is preferred, but not essential
