GENERAL SUMMARY
The Director of Allocation leads the successful development, communication, and execution of allocation strategies that support financial and inventory plans and deliver brand and channel goals. The Director must thrive in leading and developing a team during a time of high growth in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and have the ability to clearly communicate priorities and outcomes. This position requires a high level of leadership, process management and communication skills while developing and maintaining key talent and quickly developing strong cross-functional relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the development of seasonal inventory allocation strategies that support the investment strategy, identifying and communicating potential risks and opportunities to the cross-functional team and leadership.
• Balance in-season inventory strategies across channels, providing frequent assessments and revised recommendations to cross-functional team and leadership.
• Lead the hindsight process for allocation, highlighting opportunities to optimize inventory levels and support financial strategies.
• Partner with Logistics, Store Planning, Store Operations, and Visual on new store openings, product launches, localization strategies, in-store placement, product testing, and capacity management.
• Support commercial plan by ensuring stores have the appropriate inventory to deliver financial plans and any risks communicated to the cross-functional team.
• Streamline processes and facilitate change management to prevent re-work, redundancies, and inefficiency.
• Partner with Tools & Analytics and Operating Strategy teams to evaluate strategies, ensure that service levels are being met and appropriate tools are available.
• Actively listen to and partner with the field leaders to identify and drive opportunities.
• Point person for PETE allocation issues and enhancements.
• Understand forecast and inventory levers in order to explain variances and troubleshoot strategies.
• Cultivate an environment of continuous learning, development opportunities, and clear career-paths ensuring a strong and diverse talent pipeline.
• Drive for continual improvement and innovation to support business by identifying and developing creative ideas and talents of others.
QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to successfully balance both quantitative and qualitative information when recommending appropriate strategies and tactics.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, reflecting an appropriate sense of urgency to all levels of management.
• Experience managing a large scope of responsibility and cross-functional business partners.
• Proven ability to cultivate, build and maintain strong, constructive, effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners.
• Demonstrated success in building, maintaining, and managing a diverse team during times of transformation.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 7-10 years of experience in Inventory Management or Supply Chain
• 5+ years managing teams
