Description
The Director of Creative Operations is responsible for the creation and execution of processes that allow the on-time delivery of high-quality creative assets for the Global Brand to be leveraged across all Regions. leadership and development of the creative department, and the quality of all outgoing artwork and final deliverables. Oversee all functions of department including request receipt and review, job creation, server structure, job tracking, trafficking, workload prioritization, project release, final approvals and delivery of final assets.
The position is responsible for creating, enforcing and directing process across all creative channels as well as the development and on-going optimization of workflow between internal departments.
Accountabilities:
• Oversee global creative operations for LAB SERIES and CLINIQUE FOR MEN. Create, evolve and enforce process across all digital, social, print, visual merchandising, and packaging channels ensuring process drives efficient and agile execution.
• Develop and refine internal processes and workflows between departments.
• Review of all incoming project requests in regard to budget, schedule, and creative team bandwidth feasibility.
• Drive partnership between creative, key internal teams and external markets to align individual team objectives with overall brand vision. Ensure all requests are met on time, within budget and without compromising brand integrity.
• Manage schedules and workload of 8 in-house creatives. Partner with and supervise mentor Ops Associate.
• Serve as main point of contact to all outside design agencies and vendors. Communicate brand priorities, shift/re-shift workload as needed and drive final delivery timing.
• Lead weekly reviews with Senior Executive team. Present project updates, new creative, timing and key milestone moments. Encourage feedback at correct points in process, communicate potential risks and recommend solutions.
• Produce photography shoots, create and manage all talent contracts, coordinate post-production work and align timing to overall marketing calendar.
• Own creative budget. Align creative initiatives and calendarization of production with yearly spend.
• Serve as the department’s chief liaison to packaging development and operations, in regard to packaging development, decoration specification, packaging and decoration innovation, supplier management, review and approval of QA Standards, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 8+ years experience
• Expert attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Excellent problem solving and crisis management skills
• Expert knowledge of color management and discrimination
• Expert use of Mac OS X
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Database management experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or comparable
