Finance Director- US Dotcom & Marketing
Position Summary
Leadership support of the US Dotcom and Marketing Organization in all financial areas regarding forecasting, budgeting, analytics, and monthly reporting. Assist and engage business partners in strategic financial initiatives where necessary, including Sales Forecasting and Profit Management. This position has 1 manager level direct report.
Position Responsibilities
• Leadership role in the US Dotcom business segment providing strategic insight and foresight to proactively manage a fast paced, complex growing business.
• Support the management and consolidation of the financial and strategic planning processes for the US Dotcom business. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining financial models focused on the budgeting and forecasting of all revenue and expense line items, performing monthly variance analysis, developing business cases, investment/ROI summaries and completing ad hoc analysis as needed.
• Leadership role in providing budgeting, forecasting, and expense management to the Marketing organization
• Partner with key stakeholders (Dotcom, Marketing, and Accounting teams) to produce the annual budget, midyear reforecasts, and monthly/weekly reporting.
• Actively pursuing new/innovative ways of improving business process and value added analysis
• Help drive and maintain a thorough understanding of the strategies, priorities and issues of supported areas
• Support the preparation of Senior Management presentations and monthly/quarterly reporting.
• Represent Finance on various cross-functional project teams.
• Develop the five-year long range plan helping to establish long-term goals for the business and to identify and quantify the initiatives to achieve them.
• Work effectively across the organization to research variances, understand trends and incorporate new information into future forecasts.
• Monitor and review spending, identify trends/issues and lead resolution of problems.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements.
• Driven, able to balance multiple priorities. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Self-motivated and resourceful.
Skills and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of related business experience Retail industry preferred.
• Advanced expertise with Excel applications (interactive excel, macros).
• Experience with SAP and SAP Business Objects.
• Dynamic, independent, creative and highly motivated person who works well as a team member with non-financial personnel and executive level personnel.
• Must demonstrate strong strategic, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience leading and developing teams required.
