Description
As the Finance Director for Workplace Design and Connectivity, you’ll partner with functional leadership to drive the integration of our financial plans and our operational strategies over the long term. You’ll need to provide clear visibility to the capital investments we plan to make as well as the ongoing operational costs of managing physical space and related workplace environments. More tactically, you’ll lead the long range financial planning process from the CSR (Corporate Strategic Review) through to our final fiscal year operating budget. Throughout the operating cycle you’ll be the finance voice at the table as individual investments move through our AR (Appropriations Request) process and you’ll ensure that they are clearly connected to strategy and that financial expectations have been appropriately scrutinized. You’ll also be on responsible for the development of a more holistic funding model for our workplace related investments – balancing a center-led strategy with our desire to keep our business partners aligned around optimizing investment against our most important corporate goals.
You’re proven ability to partner with and influence peers will be essential given the need to work across our geography structure and outside of your direct budget ownership. You’ll need to be comfortable with ambiguity and have the ability to influence executive leadership with clear and concise fact-based analysis. Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Engineering; CPA and/or MBA is preferred
• 10-15 years' financial planning and analysis experience within a large organization with a minimum of 10 years' managing planning, budgeting and monthly forecast processes
• Minimum of 5 years' experience leading and managing teams
• Extensive experience in a technology environment or organization is a must; considerable work experience with IT service providers is a plus
• Exposure to accounting and finance systems preferred (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or COGNOS)
• Excellent knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, investment analysis and strategic planning concepts
• Extensive experience in creating and managing multi-year investment cases
• Ability to exercise high degree of professionalism and comfort engaging at an executive level
• Advanced presentation skills
