Account Executive - Footwear
The Donna Karan Company LLC, one of the world's leading fashion houses, seeks a Account Executive - Footwear to join the Sales team based in New York City.
Responsible for the selling and financial management of key shoe accounts in Far East, Mexico, Canada, and US.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and nurture mutually profitable businesses in the Far East, Mexico, Canada and US
• Execute all aspects of sales and brand growth in order to achieve growth strategy/ expansion plans
• Weekly analysis of sales data (ie. classification analysis, door analysis, competitor analysis, market share, etc.), in order to maximize selling opportunities and maintain high levels of sales and positive comp growth
• Partner with design and merchandising teams to accommodate exclusive product requests for FE and Mexico markets
• Create line plans for FE/Mexico/Canada and pre-assort collection (based on selling performance and market needs), to focus seasonal assortments and decrease bookings fall-out
• Send suggested buy proposals to buying teams, to strengthen the quality and potentials of assortments
• Work closely with Senior Visual Merchandising Manager to assort the buys, develop market strategies, increase seasonal bookings, and ensure brand standards being met
• Develop and manage OTB's for Mexico, to monitor retail sales, inventory flow, and markdown cadence
• Monitor gross margin profitability for Mexico and develop initiatives to maximize account profitability
• Maintain seasonal bookings report to track, report and analyze market projections and bookings
• Management of orders, shipments, inventory, and financial budgets; manage over-solds/swaps for Plants 15, 17, and 25
• Develop and execute reorders and in-season action plans to improve productivity and sell-through targets
• Introduce boutique installments/ layout adjustments to maximize selling space; ensuring operations, procedures and brand maintained
• Build and maintain internal and external relationships with US, Asian, European, Mexican and Canadian partners
Qualifications:
• Strong analytics and understanding of retail math
• Savvy with Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Word and Power-Point
• Proficient in Lotus Notes
• In-depth understanding of international demographic criteria; working knowledge of FE, Mexico, and Canadian markets
• Ability to work with colleagues and partners with diverse backgrounds and sensitive to cultural differences; well immersed and experienced with clients overseas
