As part of the Merchandising team at Napapijri, act as the centre of expertise on marketplace, retail and consumer reality.
Support, inform and enable the Merchandising Director’s vision throughout the product creation process.
Apply extensive product, commercial and retail knowledge to build an open and constant relation with internal and external stakeholders. Be the commercial gatekeeper in key calendar meetings.
Apply solid influential skills, both internally and externally, to drive a cohesive global strategy addressing differentiated Regional market needs driven by marketplace reality and business opportunities, build product assortments to be briefed into the product creation calendar.
Be the connector between Product conceptualization and the brand’s commercial goals.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Own the consumer and market insight data (competitive landscape/marketplace commercial trends)
• Have a 360 view on the business strategy and evolution, from brief and commercial needs to Design intent and operational practicality
• Own the strategic product line planning, complexity, margin and pricing architecture/be accountable for line adoption and efficiency
• Provide input in key calendar meetings to facilitate decision making
• Be an engaged and committed team-mate, be a facilitator in negotiations
• Instruct Product Managers on product briefs and expectations
• Collaborate closely with the Product team to ensure full alignment on requirements, timely developments and margin management
• Lead the creation of assortments by distribution and consumer segments
• Present seasonal highlights and collections to sales force during the various steps of the go to market process (Strategic Meeting/Concept Meeting/Forecast/Product Launch)
• Support and be an active partner in key accounts meetings
• Regularly download the business performance to the Merchandising team as well as the larger Product Creation team
