Social Media Coordinator
Purpose of role:
The social media & digital marketing coordinator is responsible for acting as a social ‘community manager’, creating content and engaging fans (across Facebook, Twitter) in addition to supporting brand driving digital initiatives (Facebook ad buys, Sampler Program, Contesting etc.) to generate brand awareness and drive traffic.
The position is also responsible for competitor monitoring, tracking and reporting social media/digital results on a weekly basis and supporting VP, Marketing in building and leveraging influencer partnerships.
Role Definitions
Key Job Accountabilities:
• Social Community Management – Managing, monitoring and creating social media calendar on key accounts liasing directly with Interntional Digital team to align brand values (FB, Twitter) (40%)
• Managing Sampler Program (including executing 5 key campaigns/year – including briefing agency, creative, monitoring, reporting results on a weekly basis) (20%)
• Working with digital agency & internal digital team to create digital traffic driving social media campaigns (Facebook) to support key events, product launches and brand initiatives (20%)
• Tracking and reporting social media results and digital campaigns contributing to weekly status reports and partner calls. (10%)
• Monitoring other beauty retailers & influencers and staying current on social media trends,tracking key competitors and sharing findings with the Brand team. (10%)
Other:
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Responsible for maintaining the ethical standards of The Body Shop including minimizing the environmental, health and safety risks in the workplace. Report potential risks, near misses and real accidents to relevant managers.

• Respect the integrity and visual presentation of the brand as developed by International Brand and as per the current Brand guidelines.
• Champions, supports and participates in The Body Shop’s Values and Campaigns.
Personal requirements for role
Experience:
• Excellent visual aesthetic and social savvy > innate knowledge of what is engaging and ‘shareable’
• Excellent copywriting skills
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc and management tools (Hootsuite)
• Beauty market/trend knowledge
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and react quickly to trends and opportunities
• Ability to manage complexity
• Strong analytical skills (reporting results)
• Previous social media management experience preferred
Qualifications:
• Degree educated in a relevant discipline (i.e. Business Studies, Marketing, Communication, Digital or related field)
