Position Title:Assistant Analyst – International
Reports To: Analyst - International
Location:Home Office - New Albany, OH
This individual will work as part of the Digital International Strategy Team to help develop, communicate, and execute plans for the merchandising of our Asia Web Sites and our Tmall store front.
Responsibilities
• Assist in managing the Online Product Lifecycle - Manage product items through entire web process. Coordinate and manage products, communicate expected inventory levels, organize product pages, create and maintain a brand-positive product presentation, and proactively prepare for markdowns and exit strategies
• Drive the Business – Identify opportunities for the Asia business to grow at the department & product level by providing insights through sales trends using data analysis tools. Provide seasonal guidance based off past performance and understanding the competitive landscape of local markets. These efforts should lead to increasing sales/margins.
• Strengthen Customer Experience – Ensure the customer has a high level of confidence in purchasing our products by making sure we are providing relevant information on the brand and products through a cohesive experience across channels.
• Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams - Meet regularly with Site Merchandising, Online Product Merchandising, Global and International Product Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, and Inventory Management partners to understand and influence the direction of future product lines. Use this information to ensure the online store messaging is consistent with marketing and store messaging. Coordinate Asia product strategy and themes with Marketing.
• Develop Event Strategy – Determine merchandise strategy for Tmall events, and follow up with teams to ensure requirements (inventory, pricing) are being met
• Oversee Product Publishing – Develop and monitor reporting for Tmall to ensure alignment between systems and maximizing exposure times of products living on Tmall
• Build Vendor Relationship – Work with 3rd party partner to develop a strong & open relationship to help grow our business on Tmall
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required
• International retail or ecommerce experience preferred
• Chinese proficiency preferred
• Proven leadership experience and ability to thrive in team-based settings
• Passion for the role and the A&F brands
• Desire to take on the responsibility of running a portion of a multi-billion dollar business
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate confidently with senior-level leaders
• Ability to balance between a robust analytical capability and an interest in the creative process
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Some travel may be required (internationally and within the US)
