Responsible for driving sales and nurturing a mutually profitable business relationship with retail partners by setting and implementing strategies that support the Chaps brand.
• Develop annual and seasonal financial plans which support strategies by account, door, and lifestyle as well as by month - sales, markdowns, receipts, and inventory
• Partner with sales, merchandising and accounts to incorporate product strategies into plans
• Track fiscal receipts to budget and identify risks and opportunities by account
• Develop 3 year financial plans partnering with Sales and Accounts
• Partner with sales to analyze business by door to maximize sales opportunities (weekly, monthly, seasonally, and annually)
• Analyze selling data by style/concept/program for account structure and determine class targets by climate, store group and grade
• Partner with Senior Director of Planning on meeting preparation/presentations and decks for markets, summits and internal financial requests
• Forecast and maintain OTB’s weekly: sales, receipts, markdowns, margin, vendor allowance
• Collaborate with accounts on sales, promotional cadence and markdowns to drive sales and mutual profitability weekly
• Collaborate with merchandising and sales to craft account assortments and sell in line
• Partner with sales to execute in season action plans to improve OTB forecast, reacting to business trends, resulting in improved natural margin performance
• Prepare weekly reporting and analysis by class, style and adhoc reporting
• 5 years of wholesale planning experience.
• Strong knowledge of apparel product
• Strong understanding of retail math and sales planning.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of OTB forecasting and profitability analysis.
• Strong computer and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy critical; advanced Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) required.
