Job Description
Job Responsibilities
• The primary responsibility of the position is to provide leadership and direction for responsible departments within the distribution center to include Inbound, Outbound, Quality or Returns as well as other areas as needed. This position is responsible for the productivity and performance accuracy of these areas of the operation.
• Operate the Kiva fulfillment system along with supporting fulfillment systems.
• Make recommendations and assist in formulation of departmental objectives, policies, and plans.
• Plan, examine, analyze and evaluate distribution center operations with respect to productivity standards, safety, and customer support.
• Evaluates current procedures; identifies, resolves operational problems; ensures company standards are met.
• Responsible for assisting in the creation and implementation of training programs for associates to include improving communication between departments and associate development of supervisory skills, interpersonal skills, and technical skills.
• Compile and distribute all existing Ecommerce fulfillment reports
• Monitor data and report for trends, identify areas of concern or opportunity, and develop recommendations for action
• Maintain/update WMOS system
Qualifications
Job Requirements
• · Currently enrolled in Logistics Supply Chain Program. 1 - 4 years of business experience in an automated retail distribution environment preferred.
• · Knowledge of automated order fulfillment systems (i.e. tilt tray sortation, ASRS, pick to light, pack to light, carrousel, A-Frame, etc.
• · Knowledge of WMS systems, Quality measurements and processes.
• · Effectively interact in a team environment with senior leadership, peer group, and relate to and motivate an hourly and salaried associate team.Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Communication skills
• · Develop, implement, and execute specific distribution strategies and partner with peers and corporate business partners within the Saks Direct team.
• · Clearly demonstrate management of multiple tasks at the same time
• · Flexibility in working different shift schedules to include weekends.
• · Frequently lift up to 55 pounds. May operate warehouse equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker) which requires some coordinated movements.
• · Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, macros, pivot tables, etc.)
