Summary:
This global product marketing position directs all of GLAMGLOWs product marketing activities with the objective to deliver strong brand sales and drive continuous growth ahead of the market. This role will partner closely with all cross-functional concept to market development teams to drive product to market. This position requires a proactive leader with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong attention to detail. Reports to the Vice President, Global Marketing & Integration, GLAMGLOW.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Execute the overall brandproduct architecture. Develop product strategies and manage the rolling three year global product pipeline spanning new product launches, beauty to go, sampling, gifting, holiday, and retailer exclusive programs.
• Spearhead product to market. Direct the development process with partner disciplines to deliver products on time and in COG budget. As part hereof, develop growth plans, run market as well as competitive analyses, partner with product innovation and packaging on new product concepts, concept turn-over, build COG, forecast rationale and set pricing strategy recommendations.
• Accountable for side-by-side development with GDP.
• Partner with Brand Editor/Copy, Product Development and ELC Legal Teams on claims strategies on ongoing basis. Be a contributor to brand voice
• Oversee brand cost of goods across all categories. Deliver continuous in-depth weighted cost of goods analyses to ensure brand stays on budget. Drive value analysis for existing product line as applicable.
• Work on go-to-market planning alongside consumer marketing. Provide Regions/Affiliates with timely information on programs, marketing bulletins, and give input on 360 planning. Collaborate with Regions/Affiliates and provide necessary information so they may launch with success.
• Prepare presentation of marketing plans to Regions / Affiliates / Retailers on ongoing basis. This includes preparation of materials for Sales Meetings, Regional Roundtables and Retailer Presentations.
• Track and analyze product launches. Ensure key learnings are embedded into future launches for a continuous ROI improvement.
• Support during yearly ELC Brand Strategy & Budget cycle as required with product marketing information.
• Support in North America Applied Marketing.
Qualifications:
• 8+ years marketing experience in consumer products
• Experience in cosmetic industry a plus
• Must be adept at thinking strategically and creatively
• Strong general management skills to drive projects to completion
• Strong analytical, creative, oral and written communication skills
• Metrics oriented
• Team player who can build, foster and nurture relationships with cross-functional teams
• Advanced level Excel & PowerPoint a must
• MBA preferred
