Responsibilities:
Kate Spade is looking for an email professional to manage the day-to-day of our customer communication and retention strategy. This includes working closely with the manager of email, director of CRM and our 3rd party partners to create and execute our customer communication roadmap. This role will also own day-to-day email program management including the deployment of emails with our agency, reporting, calendar updates, and brief development. An ideal candidate would also have experience creating and deploying segmented and triggered email campaigns within a major ESP.
• Responsible for email execution end-to-end with email & CRM agency including trafficking assets, requesting & providing segment information, t’s and c’s sign off, QA & approval, and monitoring deliverability
• Manage the set-up and deployment of complex automated communications within Salesforce (ExactTarget), SmarterHQ, and our database provider
• Own the maintenance of the customer communication roadmap, marketing calendar, and the creation of email briefs. This involves working across various departments in the company including creative, buying, planning, e-commerce, and CRM.
• Track key email metrics such as delivered, open rate, CTO, revenue, conversion rate, RPES, and opt-out rate by various email types and/or segments, establishing benchmarks for each.
• Create & communicate reports (weekly, seasonal, ad hoc, etc.) that analyze findings, identify trends and recommend a course of action
• Resident expert in the ESP (Salesforce) interface including email coding & set-up, list management, subscriber look-up, reporting, etc. as well as primarily contact to resolve issues with Salesforce support in partnership with our agency
• Proactively resolve problems and roadblocks in order to keep work flow on schedule and escalate higher level conflicts to manager for resolution
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 3+ years of experience in a digital marketing role, experience in email marketing required
• Experience with a large scale ESP is a must; Salesforce (ExactTarget) experience preferred
• Experience with producing and deploying emails through an email service provider
• Experience working with a 3rd party email & website personalization partner (i.e. SmarterHQ, BlueCore, BounceExchange, etc.)
• Dreamweaver or Photoshop experience preferred
• Google Analytic experience preferred
• Familiarity with email marketing best practices for revenue generation
• Knowledge of list segmentation strategies
• Understanding of email fundamentals: CAN-SPAM, segmentation, list/data extension management, KPIs, etc.
• Experience in HTML/CSS/AMPScript preferred
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMif statements, etc.)
• Strong analytical and project management skills
• Detail oriented with focus on delivering results
• Self-starter, takes initiative, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Ability to partner with multiple cross functional teams
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
