Bumble and bumble is a fast-growing, luxury hair care brand located in NYC. It started as a NYC salon and evolved into a multi-million dollar brand comprised of 2 salons, a product company that houses a strong in-house creative agency, a direct sales force, and a university for hairdressers and salon owners.

Position Summary:
Nurture and maintain strong relationships with all retail partners; ensure delivery of exciting, innovative and inspirational education content to all retail staff members. Develop the strategy and curricula for Bumble and bumble retail education programs. This position is responsible for ensuring all retail projects are managed through clear communication and defined timelines to produce challenging, consistent and quality content for all retail partners. The director is responsible for analyzing and tracking overall results of all programs as well as facilitating relevant classes. The director is also responsible for the growth and development of the associate of retail education.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop with team members all retail training programs for all retail partners, including, but not limited to, Sephora US, Sephora Canada, SiJCP, Blue Mercury, SpaceNK, Bloomingdales, and MECCA
• Create strategic education programs that are custom-fit to the needs of the market, working directly with retailers as needed.
• Work closely with the Bumble Sales Retail team to ensure alignment on education retail strategy and execution
• Maintain strong communication with all departments affected by retail education (Sales, Marketing, Creative, Product Development, Bumble.LIVE team and Bb.U and Brand Services, etc.)
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, Education, Creative, Sales and Public Relations teams to ensure consistency of message and accuracy of product information and strategic objectives
• Manage, grow and develop the Associate of Retail Education
• Support education/sales events in the field to evaluate and monitor the programs’ success and opportunities. Present recommendations and strategy.
• Teach relevant classes within Bb.U (Bumble and bumble.University) and in the Field.
• Liaise with Brand Services relative to the execution of retail events and high level trainings
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Possess strong organizational, analytical and project management skills
• Extensive retail experience is needed, with particular value placed on experience with retailers noted above
• Experience developing and writing curriculum
• Oversee content to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Ability to create an efficient and productive team from multiple departments
• Ability to propose creative solutions and generate new ideas
• Ability to quickly and effectively adapt to change
• Ability to work on both strategic and detail-oriented levels
• Possesses strong communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of operational elements required to produce educational retail events
• Experience in facilitation and delivering dynamic presentations
• In-depth understanding of the Bumble and bumble culture and brand
• Understanding and insight into the client of Bumble and bumble and our retail partners
• Ability to implement tracking systems to measure results
• Ability to identify and adapt to the needs, trends and requests from the industry
• Ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team
Education and Experience:
• Possess a minimum of an undergraduate degree in Training/Education and/or have a minimum of 8+ years’ relevant experience.
• A solid understanding of curriculum development and adult learning theory is a must. This position requires strategic thinking skills, expertise in curriculum development and communication, a desire to research and learn new concepts, strong facilitation skills, and strong project management skills.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) are required.
• Experience working with Sephora is preferred.
• Experience in the beauty and hair industry is preferred.
