Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for the design and execution of Visual Merchandising of Estee Lauder of Asia/Pacific.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understand of marketing calendars for the Fiscal Year and create merchandising illustration schemes and distribute to the markets for EL in Asia Pacific.
• Provide VM guidelines/ displays direction and manage projects to deliver on the brand and business objective.
• Responsible for choosing the visual content of light boxes based on the launch of products and marketing calendar.
• Responsible for putting together of information such as each location’s counter elevation for the monthly execution of visual merchandising collaterals.
• Be a key partner in new/renewal store planning/merchandising to provide quality input to the multifunctional team to understand the display differences and solution choices that will better drive shopper productivity.
• Develop regionally sensitive approach in the execution of visual merchandising and collaterals execution.
• Prompt execution and provision of creative solution to all regional program and activities.
• Regular communication with Global Merchandising Dept (New York) and the Visual Merchandising Managers in the region on issues pertaining to visual merchandising.
• Responsible for coaching the Visual Merchandising team
Qualifications
• College / University graduate in Design or Art School education preferred; creative and has had formal training in interior design or VM in brands/agency.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Interior or retail VM department and design.
• Able to design and draw scaled working construction drawing.
• Experience on CAD programs preferable Macintosh Vector Works and PhotoShop.
• Understands retail VM/ store design aspects, ie. lighting, furniture design, detailing fixtures, materials, etc. as well as the importance of maintaining consistency.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage time to work on projects.
• Strong co-ordination skills and able to communicates well with others both verbally and through drawing; communicates technical and design issues to average person as well as professional.
• Presents in a professional manner; has an understanding of corporate image and conduct.
• Has experience in graphics, layouts and interior signage; has an understanding of traffic flow and human scale.
• A strong understanding/interest in the retail industry of Cosmetics/ Fragrance.
• Must be adaptable to new computer technology and programs.
• Must be fluent in Adobe illustrator, Photoshop, for the design and execution of merchandising scheme making.
• Must understand how to read marketing calendars and execute the Visual Merchandising at the counter as a strong point of sales.
• Possess leadership qualities and the ability to communicate with all levels of staff.
