JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for driving our consumer direct strategy through branded and factory outlet stores across multiple concepts. With alignment to the overall regional Brand strategic business plan, develops and implements the strategy for the brick and mortar business and ensures all sales, profitability, margin, consumer, and operational objectives are achieved through all store and back office functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Overall fiscal responsibility for achieving business plan goals and budgeted objectives through sales, margins, profitability, and other financial measurements.
• Manages the implementation of adidas Brand initiatives, programs, and procedures to promote key messages and achieve a competitive advantage in the retail marketplace.
• Maintain a proactive approach to strategy execution and consistently communicate vertically and cross-functionally to ensure alignment of internal priorities and resources are allocated appropriately to achieve desired results.
• Drive the development and execution of our “shaping the chain” strategy. Ensures the transformation across all concepts achieve Brand objectives while managing to significant and unprecedented investment by the organization.
• Responsible for ensuring own department, as well as cross-functional departments, are aware of strategic objectives at retail.
• Ensures Global Flagship locations execute against a best in class consumer and brand experience. Ensures operationally that Flagship locations adhere to Global/regional strategies and align with organizational and operational blueprints.
• Directs and continuously improves in store and back office execution to meet company objectives for operational excellence.
• Identifies, plans, and executes areas for improvement to ensure consumers understand and receive the full Brand experience in concept stores.
• Plans and manages business/department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with business objectives.
• Partners with Retail cross-functional departments (HR, IT, Finance, Security, etc) to ensure their department initiatives are aligned with business objectives.
• Develops and implements in-store programs designed around industry best practices to increase efficiency in operational and Brand excellence.
• Visits stores to evaluate business operations and develops solutions to current operating practices to increase Brand awareness, productivity, workflow, and profitability.
• Collaborate with Brand Marketing to ensure concept stores have a clear business and promotional calendar to achieve business objectives.
• Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, quotas, and other projections as required. Analyze sales records and trends in relation to objectives and competitive activities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages the field leadership team (Directors/District Managers, etc), Operations, and Merchandising teams.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Lead and inspire a cross-functional team to achieve their business goals through setting clear and measurable objectives, developing their functional and relationship skills, and owning career progression planning for the team.
• Create and drive a high performance culture by setting clear expectations, targets, analyzing stores/back office performance, holding leadership teams accountable and giving appropriate and prompt feedback.
• Interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems..

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally 50% of the time, in some cases with limited or no notice
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Thorough understanding of the US retail environment and marketplace.
• Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Experience setting a shared vision and direction and building the excitement and enthusiasm needed to engage a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Experience building organizations with strong teams and truly committed staff – evidenced by employee retention and engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to bring out the best in others through coaching and mentoring and through the provision of honest feedback.
• Demonstrated commitment to service excellence with particular experience in a branded retail organization.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
2. Ten or more years retail management experience with progressively increasing scope and responsibility (a combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree)
3. Minimum 10 years’ experience successfully leading, managing and developing multi store, multi-channel retail teams.
