The Global Supply Chain Risk Director will support the existing Risk Assessment and Mitigation framework that has been put in place at ELC for the Supply Chain. This role will assist the Supply Chain with identification and definition of risks that exist and would prevent the implementation of the Supply Chain strategy and achievement of their goals and objectives. This role will work with the risk owners as well as other individuals in the Supply Chain to develop and present mitigation strategies and/or tasks for the identified risks.
In this role the Global Supply Chain Risk Director will work directly with the risk owners on the following aspects of Risk Assessment:
• Identify and assess new Supply Chain Risks
• Identify emerging or escalating Supply Chain Risks
• Identify near misses related to Supply Chain Risks
• Assess the soundness and feasibility of Risk Mitigation solutions
• Keep up to date on industry and Supply Chain trends
The Global Supply Chain Risk Director will work closely with Corporate Risk Manager for ELC and liaise with the Supply Chain risk owners to make sure the Supply Chain risk templates are complete and updated in a timely manner.
The Global Supply Chain Risk Director will perform audits of key mitigation tasks to ensure the task is being carried out as described in the Risk Assessment and operating effectively.
The Global Supply Chain Risk Director may also be involved in stretch assignments to support special projects for the Supply Chain.
Leadership - 25% of time
• Exhibit Strong Leadership Skills
• Lead the discussion with the Supply Chain risk owner on the Risk Assessments for their respective business function
• Excels in working with a global, cross-functional environment to garner support and develop understanding to help execute the risk mitigation tasks
• Active member of the Supply Chain Risk Subcommittee (SCRSC)
Decision Making - 15% of time
• Demonstrate ability to communicate and build strong team relationships with cross-functional partners and customers to identify risks with Supply Chain business functions
• Ability to discern relevancy and feasibility of risk mitigation solutions
• Actively participate with the Supply Chain Regional teams to coordinate Business Continuity Planning activities outlined in the Risk Assessment.
Problem Solving - 30% of time
• Provide accurate resources and budget analysis for risk mitigation tasks that are new or are escalating by working closely with the risk owner
• Coordinate analysis of key SKUs for ELC and work with the Regional teams to identify Business Continuity Plan for these SKUs.
• Develop a plan to bench mark ELC Supply Chain’s risk plan with similar size/field corporations
• Develop a plan for the timely identification of new risks
Independence of Action and Accountability - 30% of time
• Perform audit and monitor the implementation of key mitigation tasks identified in the Risk Assessments
• Complete the Risk Assessments, working with the risk owners, in a timely manner
• Identify and communicate new risk categories to the Risk Committee Chair
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree
7+ years of experience
20% travel
Minimum 7 years managerial experience in at least two distinct businesses or supply chain functions.
Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting, Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management. General industry experience in one or more of the following areas:
Risk management (preferred)
Internal controls (preferred)
Supply Chain
Accounting
