Responsibilities
Based out of the global HQ in Boston, USA, this leadership role is responsible for enhancing the New Balance brand by leading the strategy and managing programs to raise awareness and drive sales of New Balance’s women’s product.
In order to achieve these goals, the Apparel Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic marketing and business plan and works cross-functionally with executive, product, regional marketing teams located in North America, China, Japan, EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific and internal teams on consumer strategy, creative development, product launches, marketing channel executions and strategic partnerships while driving awareness, consistency and continuity across global executions.
Key deliverables:
• Lead implementation of full global apparel marketing and business strategy around strategic marketing partnerships including J.Crew and Disney Consumer Products.
• Create marketing plans to target awareness and growth goals
• Act as the main contact for all regional apparel marketing needs and requests
• Lead and execute productions and content creation, including providing input in marketing briefs and approvals on photography and creative
• Work closely with the catalog team on editorial content creation, including working with internal teams to ideate, gather content, execute productions and extend content to other marketing channels.
Qualifications
Business experience:
• Marketing experience, including brand strategy/positioningplanning, new product launch and product commercialization, and consumer
• Marketing across the marketing mix with specific focus on Social, Digital and Mobile
• Experience working on global marketing programs and within a global marketing organization, with an understanding of international markets /regions
• Experience in working within a complex matrix organization
• Experience in the footwear and apparel sports industry desired but not vital
• Experience managing budgets
Personal Skills:
• Excellent leadership skills
• Proven ability to work with and influence global and regional teams across all levels of the organization as well as external partners and agencies
• Results driven
