GENERAL FUNCTION The Sr. eCommerce Manager executes complex UX projects (across web, tablet, mobile and potentially offline into physical retail), oversees revenue-driving initiatives and supervises a web analytics teams. The Sr. Manager works closely with technology, marketing, PR and wholesale teams, as well as third-party agencies.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Works with the executive management team to define a global eCommerce strategy for the next several years.
• Recruits and manages members of a team working to create best-in-class online experiences consistent with the brand.
• Oversees mobile strategy and develops innovative mobile components of the platform and mobile-optimized experiences.
• Develops and manages an analytics staff, with a goal to systematically measure performance of all aspects of the web experience and conversion funnel (driving eCommerce conversion to new heights).
• Continually optimizes processes and procedures using A/B testing and user feedback to make step changes to our web experience.
• Collaborates with all other departments to ensure a consistent omni-channel experience (tie ins to retail and wholesale).
• Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of existing eCommerce operations and identifies needs based on new technology.
• Works with the marketing team to develop strategies and meet revenue targets.
• Oversees the day-to-day eCommerce operations, maintenance, and performance measurement of the company website.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 7+ years of experience managing a well-respected mobile, product management (retail), and eCommerce platform with a clear track record of exceptional growth results
• Able to translate analytical data into strategic recommendations
• Clear understanding of the luxury market and how to ensure the brand carries a weight of being a leader within the vertical it lives
• Committed to helping recruit the world’s best product team, systematically over time as budgets change and the business grows
• Incredibly empathetic toward customers, fascinated by human behavior, and deeply interested in building a brand (we want to build deep, lasting relationships with our customers and broader audience)
• Strong understanding of web technologies, programming languages, webpage design, and agile methodology (high level understanding of technical considerations, although actual development skill is not a prerequisite)
• Confident and excited to strategically expand eCommerce into additional regions and countries (we currently operate our eCommerce offering only within the United States, despite being a brand with a global reach)
• Equally obsessed with data-driven decision making and beautiful design
• Expert in website performance measurement
• Proven ability to develop and implement a successful eCommerce strategy including marketing tactics
