Description
This new position will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of global procurement and sourcing strategies to support our PR, Events and Sponsorship department and executing global programs to leverage significant A&P spend. While this position will focus primarily on global activities, it will also partner with the listed Functions Regionally and sometimes locally.
The candidate will work very closely with the business units to identify cost saving opportunities, new strategic suppliers, provide sourcing support and take ownership of sourcing activities.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional, with demonstrated successful experience leading negotiations and engaging with senior management.
•Drive Innovation and Joint Value Creation by building a strong Category Management Strategies, focusing on innovation and value. Develop, coordinate and execute worldwide category management strategies and programs to optimize and leverage our global A&P spend and improve procurement practices while ensuring delivery of results.
•Responsible for establishing strategic sourcing plans, evaluating opportunities and executing tailored approaches that reduce total cost of ownership and continuously improve service levels for media and consumer insights/analytics agreements ranging from ($500k-$15MM)
•Promote the competitive sourcing process, initiate RFQ’s to Suppliers, Evaluate Supplier cost proposals and recommend business awards
•Develop and implement local supplier relationship programs in close alignment with stakeholders
•Actively drive compliance of the category strategies and sourcing projects with the ELC Procurement Policy, Directive, Guidelines and local Procurement SOPs as well as legal and regulatory requirements
•Contribute maximum value to the business through better strategizing, structuring and organizing the supply of the assigned categories, including selecting the “right” supplier base
•Achieve year-on-year improvements in indirect spend, focusing on quality and service through management of procurement and sourcing activities.
•Monitor results, utilizing SAP reporting capabilities, against established global and regional KPIs.
•Measure and track internal procurement performance and savings within each category.
•Communicate progress of projects in meeting performance goals. Maintain and issue status reports.
•Manage stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
8+ years’ experience within Indirect/Direct Procurement or appropriate agency. At least 7+ concurrent years in PR, Events, Sponsorship or other highlighted areas of procurement
10-15% Travel
CPSM or MBA pref, Excel or Database Certs a plus
•An undergraduate degree in relevant area such as supply chain, technology, marketing or business & administration, with an Advanced Degree preferred
•Professional procurement or procurement certification and experience negotiating and contracting with major PR, Events and Sponsorship agencies preferred.
•Understanding of SAG structure and payments
•Proven ability to lead internal and external teams to ensure successful and professional procurement activities. High level of interpersonal and negotiation skills
•Experience managing change processes, Exceptional client relationship skills with ability to build strong internal and external relations
•Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems using data from various sources. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
