The Creative Media team creates the images, films, events and experiences that bring Burberry to life for audiences globally. This dynamic, creative-thinking community is made up of talented specialists including art directors, graphic designers, film directors, editors, producers, project managers, packaging designers and digital natives of all disciplines, all collaborating to explore and execute evermore inspirational and innovative ways for customers to connect with the Burberry brand.
Burberry is looking for a talented Digital Designer to be one of the key players of its Digital Design team, responsible for all of Burberry’s cross-platform design globally. This role will report to our Lead Designer for Campaigns and Storytelling.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with developers and UX designers to convert concepts into usable experiences.
• Create pixel perfect design and guidelines, working closely with developers from project inception through to delivery.
• Communicating and collaborating with the wider team, talking about your work and articulating the thinking behind it.
• Ensuring that our digital creative product remains leading edge and ensuring that our high quality of creative and production is upheld.
• You will be responsible for continuing the story of products, campaigns and events, whether it be through burberry.com, advertising or physical experiences.
PERSONAL PROFILE
• Impeccable taste and a creative approach to design, with a fantastic portfolio showing projects from conception to completion
• Good knowledge of Mobile and Desktop Web Usability best practices, Responsive and Adaptive design alongside a holistic approach to overall usability and design, with a proven experience of designing for the web – and any further innovation.
• Animation skills are a must. Whether it be through After Effects and Keynote or more code based prototyping methods
• An understanding of working in Agile is preferable, although not required
• Experience working on large volume projects, where multiple versions, translations or adaptations have been required is a plus
• An interest/background in the Fashion/Beauty industry
• A driven designer with a strong sensibility for the fashion aesthetic coupled with intelligent interaction ideas and skills in bringing to life creative digital concepts and stories.
• Content creation and curation should be your passion. Burberry has a reputation for quintessential products that are globally recognised. You must have a passion for telling those stories in engaging and luxurious ways that create global desire.
