Title: Coordinator, Freight Audit and Payment
Job Overview:
The Coordinator of Freight Audit and Payment is tasked with handling freight audit and payment process for all transportation activities. The coordinator and will work closely with Transportation planning team, Syncada, Accounting and Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors
Job Scope:
This role reports to the Manager of Freight Audit and Payment and will need to work in Syncada on a daily basis reviewing invoices that are on hold and releasing for payment or communicating to carrier any errors with invoicing. Coordinator may be asked to maintain specific KPI related to freight payment and work on continuously improving timeliness and accuracy of billing and payment
Job Responsibilities:
• Daily review of invoices on hold in the Syncada
• Resolve billing issues with carriers. Root cause determination and corrective action implementation
• Maintain and review KPI such as invoicing timeliness, accuracy and aging by carrier
• Liaise with accounting and finance to execute month end close, Cost-To-Serve, CFF, PO management, GL account coding, etc.,...
• Manage rate updates in Freight Payment system
• Perform rating audits to ensure rates are updated in TMS and Syncada
• Lead validation of payment with actual loads in TMS
• Ensure accuracy of Inbound BOL file prior to releasing to Syncada
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain related field
• 2+ years of experience in transportation
• Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Outlook
• Transportation and Freight Payment experience
• SAP, TMS, Syncada Freight Payment System experience
• Ability to work with large quantities of data
